Try the addictive SAIC MAXUS D90, Nanning Dawangtan test drive event

I believe everyone has also seen the test drive activities of D90 Pro held nationwide during this period. As a D90 owner, the purpose of buying a D90 is actually to go off-road, but there is no diesel version. It was a pity in my heart, but then I saw the release of D90 Pro at the Guangzhou Auto Show and saw the brand new diesel engine. Especially the torque of 480N.m surprised me. Although the torque of the diesel engine is larger than that of the gasoline engine, But 480N.m really impressed me. Because I already have the SAIC MAXUS APP. When I was looking at the APP, I saw that a test drive event was going to be held in Nanning. I usually have to work overtime on Saturdays, so I signed up for the test drive experience on Sunday the 29th.

I won’t mention anything like signing in. After all, this time I am mainly here to experience the new power system. The test drive venue this time is Dawangtan, and I am still looking forward to the specific off-road performance.

I was also traveling with a D90 test car from a 4S store, which can be used as a reference. The first thing I felt when I got in the car was that it was quiet. It was so quiet that you couldn’t believe it was a diesel car, and The overall tire noise and wind noise during driving have been greatly optimized.

The overall test drive venue was still very slippery, and the tires were very easy to slip. However, fortunately, engineers from the factory were there to guide the whole process. Also thanks to the upgrade of the D90 Pro's four-wheel drive system, the whole process was smooth. Very smooth.

I heard from the engineers present that the D90 Pro’s engine is divided into two types: single supercharger and double supercharger. In particular, the data performance of the double supercharger is very eye-catching, and the torque of 480N.m is comparable to The data of the 3.0-displacement 6-cylinder gasoline engine shows that even the diesel version has the natural advantage of low speed and high torque, which is more conducive to off-roading.

The soil near Dawang Beach is still very soft. This picture can clearly see the soil quality here.

After walking around, my big feet were covered with mud.

A big advantage of driving your own D90 before is that you can go wherever you want, and the passability is very good. Now D90 Pro has enhanced off-road performance, so you can really go wherever you want. No matter where you go, whether it's climbing hills, mud, or wading through water, it's all a piece of cake.

This guy is squatting on the ground looking at the tire model. I wonder if he is thinking about which AT tire is better? ?However, it is a pity that I did not see the black and orange D90? Pro that comes with its own off-road kit. After all, there are still very few original factory-built off-road kits, and the original kit also eliminates the need for later installation. And the worries about annual inspections

As mentioned above, the sound insulation effect of the car is very good, and the newly upgraded JBL sound effect in the car is also great, which is better than the previous sound effect. Of course, another advantage of the diesel version is fuel consumption. Engineers in the same field said that the fuel consumption of the dual-supercharged four-wheel drive version is about 8 fuel. If it is a single-supercharged two-wheel drive, it only costs about 7 more fuel. Compared with the gasoline engine It does save a lot, and the emission standards are directly in line with the National VIB standards. Also, I heard that Zebra has upgraded to the 3.0 system, but time is limited, so I didn’t look or study it.

After experiencing the benefits of diesel, I didn’t even want to get out of the car. It felt a bit addictive. It’s great to go off-road with a diesel car.

I have already mentioned the advantages, but I also want to talk about the disadvantages. 1: The electronic gear lever may be a problem that I am not used to using. I think there is no need to have this for a car like the D90 Pro that is biased toward off-roading. Electronic transmission, and unlike some models that use electronic transmission, the storage space will be increased. This is an area that I think needs to be optimized. 2: The direction is too light, so light that it can be turned with one finger. The electronic feel is too obvious, which is not in line with the hardcore off-road temperament of the D90 Pro.

Let’s take a final photo together, thank the manufacturer for supporting the event, and look forward to the launch of D90?Pro and its great sales!
