What do you remember about working in the fields as a child?
Let me talk about my experience of picking cotton and hops when I was a child. Cotton starts to be sown from March to April. During this period, it needs topping to prevent the cotton from growing too high and increase the yield. It is from September to October. During the cotton harvest season, everyone is busy at this time. When I was a child, there were no cotton picking machines and all was picked by hand. During this season, our students also have to start light work-study studies. They start light work-study studies in the second grade of elementary school. We were all studying in the light work-study program in junior high school. The teacher took us to pick cotton. We gathered at school early every morning. We had to bring our own lunch at noon. Then the teacher took us to farmers' homes to pick cotton. One person and a group, you chased after me. Comparing with picking, sometimes laughing and joking, playing around, and sometimes it was quite a waste of cotton. If a classmate was slow in picking cotton and fell behind the team, the teacher would follow behind him and keep pushing him.
