The topic of my speech is On Ailian, which is a famous article in ancient Chinese. Through the description of the lotus image, the author expresses his attitude towards life by means of positive and negative contrast.

This article is selected from Unit 5, Book 4 of Junior Middle School Chinese. As far as the whole junior middle school Chinese textbook arrangement system is concerned, the fourth volume focuses on cultivating discussion ability, and the fifth volume focuses on cultivating literary works appreciation ability. In this independent prose unit, it is obvious that this is the transition of two teaching focuses.

"Love Lotus Theory" is one of the four classical Chinese texts stipulated in the Chinese syllabus, and it is also the first time for students to contact ancient Chinese. It is clearly stipulated in the syllabus that reading classical Chinese should be familiar with the text, understand the meaning of the text and recite the basic paragraphs or chapters.

According to the characteristics of this paper, the outline requirements and its position in the teaching materials, the following teaching objectives are determined:

On the basis of the existing reading ability of classical Chinese, further cultivate students' ability to read and understand classical Chinese.

Reading is the basis of thinking and thinking is the way of reading. Especially in classical Chinese prose, it is very difficult for students to learn it for the first time, so they need to dredge the meaning of the text on the basis of familiar reading, so as to understand the main idea of the article. Therefore, the teaching focus of this class is determined as: mastering key substantive words and reciting them.

In this paper, the lotus is personified, its noble quality is praised by describing its external image, and the author's attitude towards life is expressed by positive contrast, which is a "dead zone" in students' understanding. The whole teaching process is divided into seven steps.
