Observation Diary: My Strawberries

Part 1

My family has two pots of strawberries. I really want to know how the strawberries are. It grew, so I observed the growth process of strawberries. At the beginning, all the strawberries in the pot had green leaves. My mother said that if you often give it some rice water, it can grow vigorously. Mom said: From now on, these two pots of strawberries will be left to you to manage. You have to pay attention to how they bloom and bear fruit. ?So, I put the two pots of strawberries down where they could get the sun, and poured rice washing water into the strawberry pots every day.

The green leaves of the strawberry absorb sunlight and water. A small green flower blooms among the leaves, with a small white bud inside. The petals blooming in the bud look like a small snowflake. The same, small and exquisite, crystal clear, extremely beautiful, and there are golden stamens inside!

A few days later, I came to the balcony to see that the strawberries were bearing fruit, as small as mung beans. , as green. The little strawberry grew up slowly, and finally became the size of a longan, snow-white, like a small snowball, covered with many spots and round ones.

After a few days of this, the strawberries were completely ripe and so red that it made people drool. I picked the strawberries, washed them with water, put them in my mouth and took a bite. They were sweet and sour, and they tasted so good.

Chapter 2

On Sunday, my grandparents and I went to the flower market. Grandma wanted to buy me a pot of flowers for me to take care of myself, but I didn’t think it was interesting, so I asked my grandma to buy me some seeds to plant myself. Grandma agreed, so I picked around and chose a bag of strawberry seeds.

When I got home, I couldn’t wait to plant strawberries. My grandpa helped me find a flowerpot and filled it with nutritious soil. We loosened the soil first, planted the seeds in it, and then covered it with some. Add a layer of soil, finally water it, cover it with a film, and you're done! I really hope it can grow.

It was another weekend. As soon as I walked in the door after returning home, I pounced on the strawberries I planted. After seeing the results, I was greatly disappointed. I can't see anything! It didn't sprout. What's going on? It's been a whole week. Ask grandma! Grandma told me that growing strawberries not only requires observing its growth, but also understanding its habits. I read the instructions carefully again, and it said that after planting the seeds, the soil must be kept moist and the seeds must be kept at a room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius for two weeks before they can germinate. So that’s it! I really wanted to take it open and take a look, but grandma said no, it won’t grow back. Alas! I have to wait patiently.

Today is the weekend again. After returning home, I will look at the strawberries first. Two full weeks have passed. Has it grown? I gently peeled off the plastic film, ah! The time to witness the miracle has arrived. I saw two small round leaves as big as rice grains on the green seedlings. They were so beautiful! They were like a group of chicks breaking out of their shells. They were so cute. I'm so happy.

Finally, another week passed slowly while waiting. The first thing I did when I got home was to see if the strawberries had changed. Wow! I was surprised to find that the strawberry has grown a third leaf, and the third leaf is different from the first two leaves. The first two leaves are round and small, but what about the third leaf? It It is larger than the previous two, black and green in color, with zigzag edges and veins on it. It looks very strong, which is so happy. I hope it will grow strawberries soon!

Chapter 3

Last night our family went to visit Uncle Zhang Yong, my father’s colleague. During dinner at home, Uncle Zhang Yong planted small strawberries on the balcony. The strawberries were not yet ripe, and only two or three were produced. The others were all small flowers. Those small flowers are white, each petal is pointed and triangular, and the stamen in the middle is green with a little hair on it. There is a receptacle like a palm under the flower. Each finger of this "palm receptacle" is connected to the petals. Although the head is drooped, it looks very strong and energetic.

Let’s talk about the small strawberries. At first, the strawberries grow from the green stamens. The small strawberries that just grow out are white with fine hairs on them. When the strawberries grow a little longer, they will become thin. The fine hairs become granular and green. The strawberry pulp is still white, but the pulp close to the stamens begins to turn slightly red. When the strawberries mature, they turn red and the granules become red. Then it turned red, which is the strawberry we usually eat.

The leaves of strawberries are olive-shaped with jagged edges. However, there is a strange phenomenon. Some leaves have red edges and green insides. Some leaves have jagged edges. It's green, and it turns into deep red a little further in, but it's just one strip, and it's all red and orange inside. There are also some leaves with green edges, and it turns into deep purple a little further in, and there's only one leaf. The inside of one branch is yellow, and most of the leaves are green.

These little strawberries are cute at every stage, but the cutest ones are the mature strawberries! ;
