Last summer vacation, I went to Meizhou with my parents and my father’s friends. Taking advantage of our interest, we set off early in the morning. After several hours of journey, we arrived at Wenjia Pier in Putian City.

As soon as I got off the bus, Father Sun gave me a slap in the face. The scorching sun roasted us like roast ducks. But the sea breeze blows from time to time, which is really cool. We bought our tickets and got on the boat. This was my first time on a boat, and it felt really uncomfortable. The sea was undulating, and the boat was beating up and down from time to time. My heart seemed to jump out of my chest. Ah, we finally arrived.

When we got ashore, the first thing we did was to find a place to stay. After finding a place to stay, we started our journey today. We first circled the island, sat on the sightseeing car, and looked at the vast sea. My mind suddenly broadened. Next, we went to the film and television city where "Mazu" was filmed. We saw many costumes and many filming props. It would have been great if we were still filming when we went there! Next, we came to the Golden Beach again. It happened to be evening, and we all walked and played on the beach. Unconsciously, Sister Moon quietly poked her head out from the sea and was greeting us! The first day of the trip was over, and we went to bed early to save energy for tomorrow.

The next day, we got up before four o'clock. After breakfast, we came to the foot of a mountain. We climbed up, and when we reached the top of the mountain, we came to the statue of Mazu. The statue of Mazu is about five or six meters high. It is built up of large stones, and the small parts are carefully carved by hand. I heard from several tourists that Mazu is the local god of the sea. When going to sea, people have to worship in front of Mazu to pray for a safe trip and return with a full load. We came to a big rock and did one thing - watch the sunrise. The sun slowly rises from the sea. Looking at this beautiful scenery, who wouldn't be intoxicated by this beautiful scenery? Next we visited Mazu’s new temple and ancient temple.

After noon, we packed up and went home. Coming to Meizhou Island this time not only allowed me to appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also gained me a lot of knowledge. Looking forward to next trip.
