This book is adapted from real cases, and the names of the places and celebrities involved are pseudonyms. This book introduces ten horrific murder cases that happened around us. Each of them is a major and mysterious case that has been tightly blocked by the media and kept secret by the authorities. Then there are four super policemen, each with their own unique skills, from the police teams across the country. Selected from among them to detect major crimes that occur in various places. There are extremely twisted criminals in it: rapists and murderers, fetishists, transvestites, non-mainstream teenagers, body mutilators, kidney sellers, perverted killers, perverts, mentally ill people, and people who kneel on the streets all day long. etc. It was later made into a web drama, directed by Li Dongxun, produced by Eric Tsang, starring Zhang Han, Eric Tsang, Yu Xiaotong, and Zhang Yamei.

I have read the original work. I have to say that this web drama is really different from the original work. Maybe people who have not read the original work will find this drama good, but I ran to watch it. Now that I know this drama, let me talk about this web drama.

The first is that each episode is too short. Each episode only lasts for twenty minutes. To be honest, I feel a bit insincere, because in the novel, each story plot is quite long. If an episode lasts for only twenty minutes, I feel that it is too short. There are many plots. None of them have been restored, and after deletion, the plot became relatively simple.

The second is an actor. I feel that these four actors are not Professor Liang, Hua Long, Bao Zhan, and Su Mei in my mind. They did not show the characteristics of the characters in the novel. Of course, I am not looking for the actors, but I am still a little disappointed.

The third is the scene where the male and female actors bicker. I don’t know why I feel that this drama seems to be more focused on the bickering scenes between male and female actors, and the process of solving the case is not detailed and attractive. It is because the filming cannot capture the tension of the original work, so I chose to borrow actors. Is it possible to drag the plot through interactions? The fourth is that the process of solving the case is too simple. In my opinion, they did not sort out the case one by one. I thought it would be better to sort out the facts of the case so that we, the audience, can know where the case has gone. One plot I found particularly funny was the tire remnants that Zhang Han easily found while standing on the bridge and bending over. There was no comprehensive search for the bridge. I bet Zhang Han was a prophet and knew where it was early on. If Zhang Han was not the protagonist and I had not read the original work, maybe I would guess that Zhang Han was an accomplice.

In short, after watching the first four episodes, I really want to say that the murderers in this drama are so kind. They could easily confess after being yelled at for a few words and explained the reasoning behind the case. In the novel, the murderers were all people with extremely high criminal psychology. I felt that in the web drama, they confessed their crimes so easily. I felt that this was a deviation from the original work, so I stopped watching it later. Watching it will only make you more disappointed, so it’s better not to watch it.
