Is amber beer closed down? Still producing?

China Resources Snow Beer (China) Co., Ltd. announced in Beijing that China Resources Snow will acquire 90% equity of the joint venture company by setting up a joint venture company to acquire assets related to beer business from Shandong Amber Brewery.

Amber Winery is located in zouping county, northern Shandong Province, near Binzhou, Jinan, Zibo and Dongying. The annual output of amber beer is 270 kiloliters. After the acquisition, China Resources Snow will carry out technical transformation on the newly acquired factory, upgrade the existing equipment specifications, meet the production requirements of Snow Beer, and increase the output to 300,000 kiloliters. Although China Resources Snowflake didn't have any brewery in Shandong Province before, the local sales of Snowflake beer reached about 80,000 kiloliters last year.

Mr. Chen Lang, Managing Director of China Resources Limited, said that the acquisition of amber beer can increase the market share in Shandong, which is a big step for us to establish a complete distribution network in the eastern coastal areas.
