Hospital companion bed

The place I fear most in my life is the hospital, and there is no one there.

When I was a child, my mother was ill and hospitalized. She always walks through the hospital to the ward alone. The empty corridor, even the ward has only one mother, and that feeling has made people feel cold all over. I feel the smell of death around me at any time. Especially when I went to see a very talkative aunt the day before and disappeared the next day. If it is daytime, there may be nothing, but I can hardly walk at night.

It suddenly occurred to me that I went to the hospital for a physical examination last year. Obviously, the hospital is overcrowded, but I feel cold and sad. I always feel that this place is particularly depressing. So for me, when I was a child, the hospital was really dark, and now I don't want to go alone.

My friend has been ill these two days, and even I need help getting up. My friend and I take turns taking care of her. After all, everyone's physical strength is limited, but she can't live without others, so she always needs someone to accompany her to bed here. Thinking about not having to go to work the next day, I chose to stay.

In the hospital at night, before ten o'clock, there is still a sea of people, some visiting patients and some patients moving in the corridor. One of the characteristics of these patients is that because of the pain, everyone drags their feet when walking, and they can hear a crash every step. After ten o'clock, everyone gradually began to fall asleep. The corridor was empty and the lights were off. Walking alone, I feel particularly empty.

There are always four beds and three people living in my friend's ward. There is also an empty bed, and the rest of my friends suggest that I can rest in that bed at night. For me, there are too many people lying in the hospital bed, which is the place for patients. I will never lie down. Even if I don't sleep, I won't lie in that bed.

My friend has a fever all the time, and when he falls asleep at night, he relies on ice packs to cool down. I thought I could stay up late, but after two o'clock, the eyelid fight was fierce. Fortunately, my friend brought an extra quilt and put a layer next to her.

The floor of this night is like getting on a train, sitting first and then lying down. There is always a rumbling sound. In the evening, the nurse will come to make rounds, sometimes taking temperature, and sometimes taking injections. Taking your temperature is especially like checking a ticket. You will be woken up suddenly, ask about the situation, and then give a thermometer. When they have injections, they are like selling snacks. They pushed the car, filled it with medicine, and then woke up the patient. Fortunately, the night is not long now, but fortunately there is no accident. Probably the only failure was that the ward suddenly ran out of water and needed to fetch water.

My friend was a little better and accompanied me to fetch water, but the kettle on this floor was broken, so I had to go to the eighth floor and decided to give up.

I woke up one night, not as disgusting as I thought, but not very practical, but fortunately my friend's fever was gone.

I really don't want to have this experience again. If it is me next time, please don't leave me alone.
