There are many celebrations in Chinese mainland, and there are also many Lantern Festival activities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Today I will organize Lantern Festival activities in three places. I only sorted out the biggest festivals in China, so I won't introduce the rest.

Hong Kong

Venue: Hong Kong Cultural Centre Plaza

Theme: "When the moon and shadow smile, the feathers of flowers and colorful feathers make up a beautiful night."

On the Spring Festival Lantern Festival, "the spring flowers on the sparrow screen shine on the Xiangjiang River".

Lantern Festival activities

In addition to dazzling colorful lights, there are music and dance performances, circus performances, anecdotes and riddles. This adds a lively atmosphere to the Spring Festival.

This light show has a special light show called "Xiangjiang River with bright spring scenery on the bird screen". With the theme of peacock, a traditional auspicious bird in China, various colorful peacock lanterns were displayed, including a group of large peacock lanterns with a height of more than 5 meters and a length of 15 meters. Its beautiful bird screen spans two pools to form an arch, which is radiant.

On the Lantern Festival, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao craftsmen will also display traditional handicrafts, including Xiguan bronze handicrafts, Tunxi murals, solidified porcelain (porcelain restoration), guqin making, dough sculpture and so on. Hubei Art Troupe, supported by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will also perform folk songs and dances and martial arts.

Introduction of activity content

On the Lantern Festival, a "Palace Lantern Carnival" will be held in front of the Kanggong Temple in Macao. The opening ceremony of the carnival will be held in the afternoon, followed by a lion dance performance and a parade of the god of wealth, and there will be booth games at the venue. In the evening, the carnival will present a variety of cultural performances, as well as solve riddles on the lanterns, lantern auction and tasting jiaozi, which will make people linger.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. During the Lantern Festival, the 20th Anniversary Collection Exhibition of Macao Museum is on display. Through six parts: Lingnan Danqing, European painting tour, fashion and fashion, pluralism and integration, exhibition review and education exhibition area, Macao's inheritance of China culture is displayed. Taiwan Province Province, China

Time of Taiwan Lantern Festival: February 19 to March 3.

Venue: Pingtung

Taiwan Lantern Festival has three light districts: Dapeng Bay Light District, Pingtung Light District (Lantern Festival) and Donggang Light District. Breaking through the tradition for the first time, taking Donggang non-Zodiac tuna 54 as the main design theme, conveying local characteristics and auspicious harvest.

Taipei Lantern Festival and Kaohsiung Lantern Festival, also known as the three major lantern festivals in Taiwan Province Province, are also worth visiting. The theme of this year's Taipei Lantern Festival is "Dream" and "Heart". In addition to the large-scale light show in the West District, there is also a light sculpture exhibition in the North Gate. The sculpture of the North Gate will be projected in a 360-degree circle, accompanied by jazz and dance performances, so that the North Gate presents a blend of tradition and modernity.

With the concept of "Baohe", the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival will be staged on the banks of the Ai River, showing the colorful charm of Hong Kong with four theme lighting areas: innocence, nostalgia, charming starlight and amorous feelings.
