There is an urgent need for a book review of a novel "Red Flag Spectrum" or "Kucaihua"!

It takes about fourteen hours a day to finish reading Red Flag Spectrum, which is not fast, but because it is finished at one time, it is obviously hasty. What's more, I have some prejudice against this kind of novels. Although I try to avoid looking at them, it will definitely have an impact. Therefore, many of the following right and wrong are personal subjective opinions, and I only read a few books commenting on it before writing. I'm not sure about the correctness of my point of view. I'd like to talk about my views on "Red Flag Spectrum" in several points:

First, the theme of the content.

First of all, in terms of theme positioning, most people think it is the "heroic pedigree" of the "China Revolution". I think some people think it is self-sufficient. It is true that the novel depicts the rise of revolutionary movements from generation to generation in northern rural areas and even cities, but it is obviously not representative. First of all, it is said that the roughness of northerners is obviously different from that of southerners. The spark of revolution actually started in the south, while the north suffered from five evils. 6? The influence of 1 is better than that of the south, and developed education is better than it. Therefore, there is a condition in the novel that Yun Tao and Jiang Tao can go to school conveniently, which is not available in rural areas in the south. All this, I think the so-called genealogy theory, is added by readers, critics and even authors to a considerable extent.

Secondly, in terms of theme concentration, the author's intention to connect rural areas with towns is good, but I don't feel very successful. Let's take Jiang Tao as an example. He used to be very rural, but in the later period of the novel, he was completely an urban revolutionary. The role of revolutionary thought and education emphasized by the author may be credible, but they lack the necessary explanations, which are very important and related to the connection between rural areas and cities. The novel just omits these, so I feel that the theme of rural-urban transformation is rather blunt.

Then "Red Flag Spectrum" has a better intention, that is, to be close to history. From the source of revolution to 4? 6? 1 12 counter-revolutionary coup, and then to the slow recovery of the revolutionary climax, are naturally integrated into the book, which is well combined with the development of characters (mainly Jiang Tao). Of course, it should be pointed out that these reactions are a bit too direct. I don't know what the situation was like at that time, but I personally think. I think it has something to do with the identity of the hero in the novel. They are all leading figures in the rural revolution, so the description gives people the illusion that "political changes directly and widely affect the countryside".

Second, the structure is novel.

The novel is chronological, and there is also a short sequence in the middle (such as Zhang Jiaqing's memories), which is superficial and not worth mentioning. What I want to say is the choice of novel perspective, mostly the omniscient perspective of the third person (sometimes there is the first person in the monologue). The omniscient perspective gives the author the advantage of coordinating the development of stories and characters, but for the author at that time, there are sometimes some great defects.

First of all, the characters in the novel are obviously limited by the author's own thoughts, and in my impression, the author's thoughts at that time are inevitably limited by social consciousness, which inevitably makes the characters in the novel reflect the "* * * names" of the times too much. From now on, such novels often fail in many aspects.

Secondly, because the author is omniscient, when there are too many characters, limited by the author's hard drive ability, characters are often typed. This phenomenon is found in the red flag spectrum. Apart from Zhu Laozhong, other farmers have too many similarities, that is, among the revolutionaries, there is no difference between Yun Tao and Jiang Tao's revolutionary thoughts, not to mention the revolutionaries who defend the "Second Division" and feel like "a gang". There are many successes in Zhang Jiaqing's description, but there are still traces of subjective construction. These are all problems brought by the infinite omniscient perspective and the author's creative intention under the ideological system at that time. Of course, all this seems so inevitable and inevitable.

Third, some successes of the characters and scenes in the novel.

The description of the older generation of farmers can only be described by a word "God", and the author China's knowledge of traditional literature is profound. From Zhu Laogong to Zhu Laozhong, their personality inheritance and development are in line with the logic and sense of China people. What's more, the shaping of various characters is also very successful, especially the spirit of "chivalry" and "righteousness"? 6? 1, from the beginning of "Make a scene in the Willows", the whole book has never stopped swinging. Although this is somewhat unacceptable to Jiang Tao and his later rationality, it is still the most successful place. There is a comment on this: "Nationalize modern novels." It's true.

The focus of a typical scene has a dramatic effect. Husband Zhu made a scene in Liulin, Zhu and Yan met at the station, you killed a pig and beheaded it against taxes, and the face-grabbing movement when defending the second division ... These are excellent typical scene descriptions, which not only constitute the highlight of the novel, but also can be said to be the backbone of the novel.

The last thing to say is the language of the novel. In fact, a large part of admiration is to admire the generous character of northerners. This kind of language, together with this kind of characters, gives the novel, which was slightly lifeless, a strong "inner gas", as if a rough breath came to my face. This is what we must learn to master anyway.

The above is my trivial view after reading the red flag spectrum, which is very unsystematic. Personally, I naively think that if the author can read my words now, he should not be angry at my shallowness, and even make some serious analysis of the sentence "fools worry too much"

This is also the first paper in the history of contemporary literature in China.
