Xixi South, a Millennium Hidden Ancient Village in Huizhou

Last time I talked about Nanxi South, this time I will talk about Xixi South.

There is such a place in Huizhou that apart from beauty, it is only strange. This poetic place is called "Xixi South" and is often misunderstood by tourists as "New Zealand".

"Wuyue returns without looking at the mountains, and Huangshan returns without looking at the mountains." Everyone knows that the wonders of Huangshan Mountain are beautiful, but they often pay little attention to this little-known village. Daiwa with white walls, simple folk customs, shady trees and gurgling streams belong to Dahe in the ancient Huizhou cultural area. It is so beautiful and spiritual, but it has really been left out for too long.

Xixinan is located in the ancient town of Xixinan at the southern foot of Huangshan Mountain and on the Fengle River, with a history of 1200 years. Because Fengle River passes through here, it is also called Fengxi, Fengnan and Xin 'an. It is 4 kilometers away from Huangshan North high-speed railway station and 25 kilometers away from Huangshan Airport.

Pass through the dense Shuikou forest at the head of the village and enter the village from criss-crossing paths. If no one leads the way, you are likely to get lost in the streets and lanes in the south of Xixi.

There are dense forests stretching for miles along the river, which are lush, and there are large maple forests growing on both sides of the river, which are four kilometers long. This is Xixi Nanfeng Yang Shulin, just like its name, picturesque.

Fengle River goes down around the village, and Fengyanglin wetland stretches for several miles. Xixinan Village, hidden behind this dense green forest, is quiet and simple. Walking, inadvertently brush the green yarn, as if you can enter the fairy tale world.

Xixinan has not been over-developed and basically has no commercial flavor. The villagers who have lived here for generations are working quietly here. As the sun sets and smoke billows, I look at all this and think of a house number I saw in the village, "Looking at the Mountain Life", which suddenly seems to be the most appropriate description.

Shuttling through the streets of the ancient town, you can imagine the prosperity of Xixi South Town in its heyday. There are ten famous buildings, twenty pavilions, twenty-four courtyards and other places of interest, but a small village can accommodate so much!

Bridges and flowing water, old trees and old houses, Xixinan Town, like many ancient villages in Huizhou, have a glorious past. When the ancient villages are constantly eclipsed by the years, the influx of many private capitals makes them glow with new vitality.

Xixinan in summer is a dream that can breathe. Not many tourists, tree-lined, cool and pleasant. Here, you can breathe the sweet air and listen to the sweet bird songs with peace of mind to calm the hot and irritable mood in summer.
