First aid of febrile convulsion in children

Febrile convulsion is also called "febrile convulsion", commonly known as "convulsion". In case of febrile convulsion in children, you should call 120 first, and the following first aid measures can be given before seeking medical treatment:

1 First aid measures-keep the respiratory tract unobstructed

Remove nasal, mouth and respiratory secretions in time, tilt your head to one side to the pillow or supine position to prevent vomit from being inhaled by mistake, and loosen your chest collar and belt. Don't pry open your teeth forcibly when you twitch or clench them, in case of tooth damage.

2 first aid measures-cooling treatment

Febrile convulsion in children is one of the common emergencies in emergency department, which may occur at any time in children with fever. Controlling body temperature is the key to prevent convulsions. After convulsion occurs, control convulsion in time and carry out physical cooling, and send it to the hospital as soon as possible.

Physical cooling

Take off the coat and trousers of the child, scrub the neck, armpit, femoral artery and popliteal fossa with water or alcohol, observe the vital signs of the child when taking a bath, and pay attention to keeping hands and feet warm in cold weather.

First aid measures-acupoint spasmolysis and fever reduction

Acupuncture at acupoints is an effective method to relieve spasm and fever.
