Do you grow your own vegetables at home?

As a rural girl, it should be normal for me to grow vegetables. Needless to say, I grew up eating vegetables, which are pure natural and pollution-free.

As long as I can remember, my family has been growing vegetables by myself and rarely goes out to buy food, which is also inseparable from my family situation. Grandparents themselves are people in the old society, so they are frugal and never willing to buy food. Probably the advantage of self-sufficiency, so that grandparents can continue to live longer by eating less pollution-free vegetables.

Because my home is in the countryside, there is a hillside behind my house. There is a small piece of land on the hillside, and of course there are many large pieces of land, but this land is close to home, so grandpa has been growing vegetables here. Eggplants, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and other vegetables are planted in spring, and they can be picked and eaten in season. Now you don't like to eat beans and things like that this season, and it's almost over.

My mother came to my grandmother's house the other day and should have brought a lot of beans, cucumbers, pumpkins or melons. I don't know. It's just a big melon anyway. Grandpa said there are still many things in the field that can't be eaten. If you can't finish it, it will be broken and you can only give it away. Because of grandpa's vegetable garden, relatives don't have to buy food at this time, just go to the vegetable garden to pick it. It is common for villagers to choose a dish. We are very happy to help each other.

When the corn in the field is ripe in autumn, we will plant melons again so that we can eat vegetables in winter. I should be able to grow cabbage in winter, haha, I don't remember clearly either, except that cabbage is cooked in winter, and I keep it for the winter.

Grandpa's garden will not be idle all year round, either planting this or that, and I will not be idle until it is ripe. These are all pure natural vegetables and will not be sprayed with pesticides. Grandpa said he ate them all by himself. So grandpa is very careful.

Although the vegetables grown at home are not as good as those sold outside, they are delicious, and I have never said anything I don't like. On the contrary, every time it's harvest season, give it away if you can't finish it.

The vegetables sold in the supermarket outside are all beautiful, but not so delicious. Vegetable farmers spray pesticides when they arrive and don't know where they are shipped, so the vegetables they eat are unhealthy, because pesticide residues cause many people to get sick. This kind of thing is very common. I'm glad I have a small vegetable garden at home, where I can eat my own vegetables. Grandparents also go to the vegetable garden to exercise every day, and now they are in very good health. Therefore, it is very healthy for the elderly to grow vegetables at home and eat by themselves.

Many families in our village are like this, and there are too many phenomena that men and women in their 60 s can still work in the fields. So it is healthier to eat vegetables by yourself. I also hope that people living in cities will come to the countryside more often when they have nothing to do, eat fresh vegetables and exercise.

Self-sufficiency, food and clothing.
