Fujian (Hua 'an) Tulou successfully declared the World Cultural Heritage.

At the 32nd World Heritage Conference held in Quebec City, Canada, experts from all over the world had intense deliberations and discussions. Finally, 2 1 member countries, including China, unanimously stated that Fujian Tulou in China was officially listed in the World Cultural Heritage List.

Application process

Fujian Tulou is a unique large-scale residential building in the world, with unique shape, large scale and ingenious structure. It attracts worldwide attention for its rich cultural connotation, unique living style, reasonable layout and site selection concept integrated with the natural environment.

1999 10, Hua' an county party Committee and county government officially launched the project of "Hua' an earth building applying for world heritage".

In April 2000, the governor's office meeting of Fujian Provincial People's Government decided to unite the earth buildings in Yongding, Nanjing and Hua 'an and jointly declare the world heritage in the name of "Fujian Earth Building".

On February, 2002, Kloc-0/,the application text of Tulou was submitted to the United Nations World Heritage Committee, but the application process of Tulou in Fujian was delayed due to the limitation of the number of applicants in the new regulations of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, Suzhou Resolution.

In May 2006, National Cultural Heritage Administration officially and explicitly listed "Fujian Tulou" as the only project declared as a world cultural heritage in 2008.

In the first half of 2008, "Fujian Tulou" successfully passed the formal evaluation of the International Council of Monuments and Sites and won the "Admission Ticket" for the 2008 World Cultural Heritage.

On July 6, 2008, "Fujian Tulou" was included in the World Cultural Heritage List by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
