Now, they are over 500 years old, and they still remember the Battle of Laoshan in 1987. What caused all this was 1979' s "self-defense counterattack against Vietnam".

From 65438 to 0979, after Du?n came to power, the Vietnamese government relied on the support of the United States and the Soviet Union. In order to maximize the interests of its own country, it has repeatedly disturbed and occupied our territory and harmed our border people, regardless of China's previous friendship of helping each other in the same boat.

After repeated warnings failed, the Vietnamese government was forced to launch a "self-defense counterattack against China" on February 1979 to protect the territorial integrity of and the safety of its compatriots on the border.

During the one-month battle, our army soldiers were not afraid of difficulties and sacrifices, and the soldiers came to block the water, and they quickly captured Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.

However, the purpose of this "self-defense counterattack against Vietnam" is only to let the Vietnamese authorities know China's military strength and stop wantonly invading our border territory and harassing our border people, not aggression.

So when we arrived at the gate of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, our government adhered to the principle of small punishment and big police, and stopped attacking Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. On March 5th, all our troops withdrew to China, and the "self-defense counterattack against Vietnam" won.

However, the Vietnamese government failed to live up to our kindness. Before the People's Liberation Army attacked Hanoi, the capital, senior leaders of the Vietnamese government abandoned the government building and fled.

After the withdrawal of our army, they returned to their leadership positions and spread the rumor that "our army lost and the Vietnamese army won" in China, which blinded the people.

Besides, the Vietnamese government is not dead. After the "self-defense counterattack against Vietnam", it still coveted the border territory of China, harassed the border territory of China many times, and occupied the Laoshan area, a military strategic place on the border between China and Vietnam.

After the occupation, relying on the complex terrain of Laoshan, the Vietnamese army built fortifications on it and transformed Laoshan into a defensive position like an iron wall.

Relying on these defenses, during the five years from 1979 to 1984, the Vietnamese army was arrogant and opened fire on schools, farmland and villages in China, injuring 325 soldiers and civilians in our border areas, forcing dozens of schools to suspend classes and abandoned farmland.

So, on April 28th, 1984, our Kunming Military Region received an order from the superior to recover the "two mountains". After 18 days of bloody fighting, our border guards successfully recovered Laoshan and Yinshan.

However, the Vietnamese authorities were still unwilling to admit defeat, and organized the Vietnamese army to counterattack Laoshan and Yinshan highlands, thus forming an unprecedented wheel-and-wheel war in these two highlands, in which all major military regions in China participated.

Thus, in a round of wheel-wheel war, 1987 "Panthers Commando" received the task from the superior: to capture 167 highland and destroy the Vietnamese army on this highland.

So, on April 28th, 1984, our Kunming Military Region received an order from the superior to recover the "two mountains". When soldier Seinfeld learned that he had a chance to be a member of the Panthers Commando, he said that joining the Panthers Commando made him feel that life was full of meaning.

Their first task is to pick up their comrades-in-arms who came down from the battlefield of Laoshan Wheel War.

This is the first time they have faced death. They clearly remember that before going to the battlefield, there were only a few people left in the team of hundreds of people when they came back.

At that moment, they understood that war was cruel.

1987, when receiving the task again, the soldiers behaved quite calmly.

They wrote their wills in the limited training preparation time, adhered to the principle of reporting good news but not worrying, and did not tell their parents that they were about to go to war.

An extremely optimistic little soldier even wrote in his will to his family: Hello, Mom and Dad. Being a soldier is good. I'm good. After the mission, I will go home and reunite with you.

After the training, 365,438+0 members of "Panther Commando" boarded the truck bound for Laoshan with 49 other soldiers from Company 4, Battalion 2, Division 465,438+039, 47th Army, Lanzhou Military Region.

This is a very brave army. 4 17 Regiment was formerly known as the Eighth Route Army 120 Division 359 Brigade 7 19 Regiment. It is the famous "Night Tiger Group" of the Eighth Route Army, and the 4th Company is the sharp knife company of the group.

In the truck, everyone is thinking about their own ideas. The last mission made them understand that this war will be a fierce one.

Hearing this, the soldiers burst into laughter and put on the best posture for Yuan to take pictures.

I don't know how many will survive after going to war. If they die, this photo will be their last thought in this world.

When everything was ready, the members of the "Panther Commando" went to the battlefield with the soldiers.

167 highland is an important military commanding height on the old mountain. In the previous wheel war, we successfully captured the highland, but under the repeated counterattacks of the Vietnamese army, 167 highland was taken away by the Vietnamese army.

So the task of "Panthers Commando" is to recapture 167 highland. (The highland number of Kunming Military Region was 167 during the wheel war, and it was changed to 425 after the Lanzhou Military Region entered the war. )

According to the data, the east side of 167 highland is a gentle slope and the west side is a steep stone peak. From east to west is a long and narrow earth-rock mountain, with Panlong River on the left and Xiaoqingshan on the right. It is located on the border controlled by both sides of the Sino-Vietnamese border, surrounded by the highlands occupied by the Vietnamese army. The terrain is strange. As long as our soldiers enter, they will face all sides, and it is easy to defend but difficult to attack.

Therefore, although other military regions of our army have attacked the Xia 167 highland many times before, they are often faced with fire attacks from the east, west and south of other highlands of the Vietnamese army because they are surrounded by other highlands of the Vietnamese army.

At that time, the troops stationed in 167 highland were 1 14 regiment, 4 battalion 1/kloc-0 company and1fully armed reinforced platoon, with rich combat experience.

In order to build the 167 highland into a solid defensive offensive, the Vietnamese army not only stored a lot of weapons, ammunition, water and food on it, but also built more than 20 defensive bunkers.

Coupled with the fire support from the surrounding highlands, there is little hope to capture 167 highlands from the battlefield analysis.

In order to ensure the success of this operation to the greatest extent, Liu, the head of the 4th17th Regiment of the 47th Army139th Division, asked the vice captain of the commando team to lead the members of the 1st commando team 100 to climb to the 167 highland at 4: 30am on June 6th, 65438, to prepare for the assault.

The team members lived up to expectations. With their high-intensity ability, they climbed the main attack point in the northeast of the Vietnamese army 167 Highland Landlord Position 10 meter in two hours, and held still for 25 hours without being discovered by the Vietnamese army.

1987 65438+1At 3: 30am on October 7th, the headquarters of the 4th14th Regiment of the 47th Army of our army saw that the time was ripe, and ordered the first and second commandos to grope their way to the 167 highland overnight.

Three hours later, more than 70 members of my first and second commandos successfully sneaked into the Vietnam Army 167 Highland 1 combat zone.

After observing the terrain, Guo Jiee, the captain of "Panther Commando" and the deputy company commander of Company 4, ordered the soldiers to be prepared for battle while hiding and ready to attack at any time.

However, the too quiet dawn seemed to make the Vietnamese army sniff out the danger, and the originally quiet Vietnamese army position suddenly sounded aimless gunshots.

The sudden gunfire did not confuse our soldiers, and the good quality of soldiers made their lurking seamless.

Gunfire is becoming more and more urgent and intensive. Xi Wenhua, a member of the Vietnamese army lurking near Cave 5 in Area 3, was unfortunately hit by a shell and died on the spot.

Dong Yongan, ten meters away from the enemy post, was also injured, and the pain of the wound made his body tremble uncontrollably.

Someone wants to touch him and dress his wound. After Dong Yongan found out, he motioned his comrades not to make a move, so as not to expose the target and make the whole operation fall short.

But the severe pain made him want to roar all the time. In order not to shout out loud, and to force his body to stop shaking, Dong Yongan bit the Grenade, got his nails stuck in the soil, and bled to death.

At 0700 hours, more than 300 cannons of our artillery company began to storm the Vietnamese army in the 167 highland.

Soldiers from 4th Company, 2nd Battalion of 4 17 Regiment, under the cover of artillery fire, began to launch fierce attacks on their respective task points.

When he was just lurking, Liu Qiuping, who was also seriously injured as Dong Yongan, climbed to the position of 167 for more than 60 meters with a machine gun with his remaining consciousness, and died heroically.

Ma Zhanfu, a soldier of the first echelon, rushed forward and directly blew up one of the enemy's machine gun fortifications and three Vietnamese troops.

Enemy snipers soon found him, and Ma Zhanfu was directly pierced in the abdomen. He quickly fell to one side of the stone, but he was still locked by the Vietnamese army.

After a string of bullets passed, the Vietnamese army finally stopped shooting at Ma Zhanfu's position.

Ma Zhanfu, whose scalp was scratched by stray bullets, looked at the Vietnamese army and diverted his attention, so he choked back the pain and threw the explosive barrel into another enemy fortification.

Vietnamese soldiers saw the explosive barrel and tried to pick it up and throw it out, but Ma Zhanfu didn't give the Vietnamese soldiers a chance.

He fought bravely, blocked the exit of the fortification with his chest, and the explosive barrel exploded. Ma Zhanfu, who was only 20 years old, died heroically.

Because he can't write, his will was recorded in the tape recorder. In his will, he didn't say anything, but shouted 26 times, "Mother, with the passage of time, the battle in 167 Highland gradually became hot.

In addition to the original artillery attack on Highland 167, artillery fire from other highlands also came to Highland 167.

Members of the "Panther Commando" were attacked from all directions and suffered heavy casualties, but the soldiers bravely occupied the position.

An hour later, 167 highland was quickly occupied by "Panthers Commandos" soldiers.

However, the Vietnamese army in other positions did not give up the 167 highland. They stepped up their firepower and counterattacked 167 highland again and again.

The fire became more and more fierce, and members of the "Panthers Commando" stubbornly resisted, and soldiers continued to fall. The fierce fighting lasted 10 hour.

Guo Jiee, the captain of the first commando team, led the remaining soldiers and stubbornly repelled the enemy's six counterattacks.

The tenacity of our army made the Vietnamese army feel timid, and the interval between counterattacks became longer and longer. At this time, Guo Jiee had the opportunity to see his comrades around him.

Without exception, almost everyone was injured, and some even lost consciousness.

Faced with this situation, Jigol made a decision: he asked the soldiers who were still marching to retreat together with the unconscious soldiers, leaving only another soldier who was slightly injured to wait for the enemy's next counterattack.

In the face of the captain's orders, the soldiers who have always obeyed orders as their first duty have collectively disobeyed this time.

They resolutely disagreed with captain Guo Jie's orders and insisted on staying in the position to fight with him. Guo Jie had no choice but to agree to the soldier's request.

In this way, they blocked the enemy's counterattack again and again until the ammunition of both sides was exhausted, and they finally held the 167 highland and completed the task.

This battle, although my "Panthers Commando" won, the price paid was huge.

There were more than 80 people before the war, and there were less than 10 survivors after the war, and all of them were injured or even permanently disabled.

After the battle, they were awarded military exploits.

Now, 34 years later, the soldiers who survived the Panthers Commando, such as Ji Guo, Ma Zhijun, Li Guosheng and Seinfeld, have their own life trajectories. They look forward to the reunion on June 7th every year.
