Why are there so many enclaves in Henan?

There are many enclaves in Henan, but the causes are different. For example.

Nanyang, Henan, is famous all over the country, but one thing is very strange. A village flew to Hubei province outside the provincial boundary. What is this?

Nanyang, located in the southwest of Henan Province, is the largest and most populous prefecture-level city in Henan Province, with an area of about 26,600 square kilometers, slightly less than the sum of Beijing and Tianjin. The population exceeds 10 million. Prefecture-level cities with such a large area and population are rare in central and eastern China.

Nanyang borders Zhumadian and Xinyang in the east, Suizhou, Xiangyang and Shiyan in Hubei in the south, Shaanxi in the west and Sanmenxia, Luoyang and Pingdingshan in the north. Nanyang is located in Nanyang basin, with fertile land, rich water resources and developed agriculture.

In the southwest of Nanyang City, at the junction of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi at the southern foot of Funiu Mountain, there is a county called Xichuan County, which has fresh water and Xishui in its territory and was called Danyang in ancient times. Compared with the plain terrain in other parts of Nanyang, Xichuan County is a mountainous terrain. It is said that there are seven mountains, one water and two fields. The source hub of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project is located in Danjiangkou Reservoir on Xichuan side.

The "Feitian" village we are going to talk about today is called Shicaogou Village, which belongs to Jingziguan Town, Xichuan County, eight or nine kilometers away. The village is located in Bailang Town, Yunyang District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, and is a provincial enclave in Henan Province.

What is the concept of provincial enclave? Generally speaking, it involves stakeholders from other provinces. Even if this enclave is small, if it is to be adjusted, the process of handling it is very complicated. It is necessary to come forward at the provincial level and apply to the superior for adjustment. This is the case in Shicaogou Village.

Shicaogou village covers an area of about 0.8 square kilometers, with more than 300 mu of cultivated land and a small population of about 300. Although it is located in Hubei and surrounded by villages in Hubei, the license plate of villagers in Shicaogou Village is Yu R, and the landline area code is 0377 (Nanyang area code).

The village area is not large, and when the villagers leave the village, they become long-distance+roaming. So in order to save money, some villagers used to have two telephones at home, one in Hubei and the other in Henan. Later, when the telephone bill was cheaper, there was no such thing. Mobile phone charges are not high now, so roaming charges are cancelled. Some villagers use Shiyan's phone.

Not only the telephone was used in Hubei province, but also the road was temporarily changed to Hubei. Even the daughter-in-law married the Hubei girl, because this is a mountainous area, and the Henan girl is unwilling to marry.

There is no relevant information about the cause of this enclave. But now there are three popular sayings: one is dowry, the other is migration, and the other is banditry.

According to the dowry theory, Shicaogou village was given to Henan as a dowry because Hubei married a prostitute. This seems incredible today, but in the case of private ownership of ancient land, it is still possible for landowners to use this land as a dowry. Moreover, this land is surrounded by mountains in the west, south and north, and there is a ravine in the north. In the agricultural society at that time, it was not a very good land.

According to the migration theory, Jia and Wang, the two main ancestors of this village, migrated from Hongtong County, Shanxi Province to Neixiang, Henan Province, and then came to Shicaogou Village. The time is probably during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. Because it was under the jurisdiction of Jingziguan Town at that time, it continued.

In ancient times, there were examples to follow. In an era of vast territory and sparse population, the land reclaimed by anyone belongs to him as long as he pays taxes to the government. Later, when dividing the districts, most of them were judged according to the original household registration. In some areas of Fujian Province, there are some enclave villages, which were formed by the migration of ancestors.

However, there used to be a Hongmen Temple in the north of Shicaogou village, but the monks in the temple did not do their proper work, relying on their high martial arts, the mountains were high and the emperor was far away. At that time, the government of Yunxian County (now Yunyang District, Shiyan) was too far away from here, with a mountain road of nearly 100 kilometers, which was not easy to walk. By the time the officers and men arrived, the bandits and monks had already disappeared. The government can no longer control them, and later let the closer Henan government take charge of them and wipe out those lawless monks. Later, Hubei simply gave this place to Henan, which was under the jurisdiction of Jingziguan Town.

Legend is legend, because there is no relevant information recorded, perhaps this will become a mystery forever. In fact, it doesn't matter, no matter where it belongs, as long as people live happily.

It can be clearly seen from the map that the old county town of Fanxian in the north is not bordered by Henan, and it is an enclave in the true sense, and it is also integrated with the cherry orchard town in Shandong. It's interesting that people here have to cross provinces from the new county to the old county.

The formation of Fanxian enclave is due to the administrative division of 1964. At that time, in order to meet the needs of flood discharge, the area north of Di Chin River in Fanxian County was included in Shandong. Shandong and Henan are also bounded by Jindi River here, but Fan County is in the north of the river, so an enclave is formed.

Jingziguan Town is a famous local ancient town, and Shicaogou Village is two kilometers away from the Henan border. It is said that Shicaogou village was originally uninhabited. In the early Ming Dynasty, two families in Shanxi moved to Shicaogou after living in Neixiang. People here still retain the custom of eating noodles and listening to Henan Opera. Henan belongs to Henan in administrative division, so it is also a very strange enclave.

This enclave is the smallest of the three enclaves, with only a dozen families. It is located in Wu Gou Administrative Village, Zhang Ying Township, Linquan County, Anhui Province. The power supply is also provided by Anhui, but it belongs to Zhoukou, Henan Province in administrative division. The formation of this small flying land was due to the flood in central and eastern Henan in 1975. Several families in Jiang Ying Town moved to nearby Zhang Ying Town, forming Xiaowugou. Today, the German natural village in the administrative village of Wu Gou is also under the jurisdiction of Henan and Anhui provinces.

In a word, the three enclaves in Henan are the most typical, but they are all close to the border of Henan, and there is not much difference in living habits.

Welcome to open the historical treasure and watch those things in Henan together. (About 500 words, 2 points for reading)

There is such a piece of land that originally belonged to this province or city. It looks like a leg, so it is called an enclave.

In Bailang Town, Yunyang District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province today, there is a small place called Shicaogou Village. If you go there and ask them where they are from, they will definitely say, I'm from Henan.

This should start from a special history. Hundreds of years ago, the land in Shicaogou was uninhabited. In the early Ming Dynasty, Wang and Jia moved from Sophora japonica in Shanxi Province to Shigang in Henan Province. They thought that Shigang was located in Funiu Mountain, the remaining vein of Qinling Mountains, and the local living conditions were not very good, so they sought a way out and went to Shicaogou, which is adjacent to Henan.

After hundreds of years of prosperity, the population of this area 1400 mu is about 300. This place is a Little Paradise, surrounded by mountains, and it is not easy to get in and out.

In the early days of liberation, the staff of Yangxi Township Government in Hubei Province mobilized the villagers of Shicaogou to belong to Hubei, but the villagers insisted that they were from Henan and passed down from generation to generation, and resolutely refused to belong to Hubei.

Although this village is surrounded by Hubei people, it is inconvenient for children to go to school, see a doctor and get married, but the sense of belonging and centripetal force of Henan people has always been the driving force for these people to overcome all difficulties, and they have always adhered to their roots and guarded the customs and culture of Henan.

Shicaogou village

What is an enclave? It is a special phenomenon of human geography, which usually refers to the land that belongs to an administrative region but is not connected with the region. If there is an enclave in an administrative region, there is no way to "directly" manage it through its own administrative region, and it must "fly" over.

Whether it is a national level, a province or a prefecture-level city, it may actually have its own enclave. The land that lives outside is called an enclave, and the land that lives outside us is also an enclave. As for the enclaves in Henan, there are many enclaves, including ten. Let me introduce you to see if there is your hometown.

Shicaogou Village, Jingziguan Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, covers an area of only one square kilometer and has a population of less than 500. Located in the center of Bailang Town, Yunyang District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, it is administratively subordinate to Jingziguan Town, Zhechuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province.

Earlier, there was no one living in Shicaogou village. First, a couple named He Jia immigrated here first. Because there are stone troughs on the mountain and ditches in the village, it is named Shicaogou Village. Their ancestors are from Henan, and their living habits and customs are very similar to those of Henan. Although surrounded by Hubei for a long time, even the daughter-in-law is from Hubei, but it is still Henan.

In the old county town of Fan County, Puyang City, there is a saying that "the country is a big monster and the county is outside the provincial boundaries". And "there is a Henan county in Shandong, a Shandong township in Henan, a henan village in Shandong township, and Shandong people live in henan village". This means that the county seat and town government of Fan County in Henan Province are located in Shandong Province and become an enclave.

Fan County formed an enclave mainly because of the flood discharge of the Yellow River. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Fan County actually belonged to Shandong Province. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, several county-level areas, such as Fan County, were assigned to Henan due to the need of flood discharge. As for the towns that originally belonged to Fan County, they were "left" or belonged to Shandong, so they were surrounded.

Located in Xiaowugou, Liu Fu Town, shenqiu county, Zhoukou City. The villagers living here immigrated from the administrative village of Jiang Ying, Henan. The administrative village is located at the junction of Henan and Anhui, and there is a Fenquan River in the middle, which is divided into two provinces by the gate on the river. Although I moved to Anhui, I am still registered in Henan.

Chengxiang Township, yongcheng city, Shangqiu is located in the west of yongcheng city, Shangqiu, and governs 19 villages, of which 15 administrative villages and township governments are located in Chengguan Town. The other four villages are located in the south of Chengguan Town, so they have become enclaves. This is caused by the process of urban planning and has little historical origin.

Shang Jie District of Zhengzhou City, located in Xingyang City, belongs to Zhengzhou City and has become the satellite towns of Zhengzhou City. Shangjie District is not only an enclave in Zhengzhou, but also an enclave in Shang Jie, located in Xiaoguan Town, gongyi city. The success of these two enclaves is mainly attributed to the aluminum production in this area. There are aluminum enterprises in both areas of Zhengzhou, and the formation of Shang Jie area is a typical community built on enterprises.

Yangqiao Village, Gaoshan Town, Xingyang City, Zhengzhou City borders gongyi city. The village is dominated by mountainous areas, and has jurisdiction over 13 natural villages. Three natural villages are surrounded by gongyi city, which is caused by mountainous and hilly landforms.

Geely District of Luoyang City is under the jurisdiction of Luoyang City, but its geographical location is in Meng County, north of the Yellow River, just across the river from Luoyang City. It has always been a battleground for military strategists and is known as "the waist of the world and the throat of the north and south". The formation of this area is mainly due to the repeated diversion of the Yellow River, which gradually divided this area.

Shilong District of Pingdingshan belongs to the jurisdiction of Pingdingshan, which originally did not belong to Pingdingshan, but belonged to Baofeng County and Lushan County. This is because the area is rich in coal mines. In order to better develop the coal industry, a district was suddenly drawn here, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Pingdingshan, and thus became an enclave of Pingdingshan.

The reasons of Wugang City and Shilong District in Pingdingshan are similar, and it is also because the mineral resources here are relatively rich. In order to meet the needs of development, Pingdingshan directly manages and sets up a district in this area. Later, 1977 withdrew from the district to build a city, which once became an enclave of Pingdingshan.

Most of the enclaves in Henan are here, and the reason for this "spectacle" is not only because of historical reasons like Shicaogouqiao Village. Most of them are for the needs of construction. For example, mineral deposits were discovered here, but the administrative area directly under him was too small to be managed, so it was directly assigned to a larger administrative area. This also reflects from the side that we attached importance to coal, steel and other industries in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

On the territory of China, there are many enclaves in other areas besides Henan. For example, sanhe city, Dachang County and Xianghe County in Hebei Province originally belonged to Langfang City in Hebei Province, but Beijing and Tianjin were mixed among them. Their formation is mainly due to the division of our municipalities, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing.

Yixing, the enclave of Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, was originally under the jurisdiction of Wuxi City, but a Qishuyan District of Changzhou City was added between them. The formation of this enclave is mainly because it is separated by Taihu Lake. There is also Xuyi County, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province. Because of the emergence of Hongze Lake, Xuyi County was split in two. If you want to cross by land, you need to pass through Anhui Province, otherwise there is only water.

Weishan County, an enclave in Jining City, Shandong Province, belongs to Jining City, Shandong Province. But there is a Weishan Lake next to Weishan County, in the Flying Tigers. Because of his appearance, the whole Weishan County was "squeezed out" by Jining City. Weishan Lake is Jining City on one side and Zaozhuang City on the other. Weishan County belongs to Jining City, but it is close to Zaozhuang City.

Tuotuo River Basin in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province is located in the west of Qinghai Lake, adjacent to Gansu Province in the north and Xizang Autonomous Region. There is also Dushanzi, an enclave in Karamay City, Xinjiang, which is under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and under the control of Karamay City.

The formation of these inclusions is not the cause of uneven distribution in Henan mining area. But because of natural factors, such as mountains and rivers. Typical enclaves in the world, such as Alaska, the enclave of the United States near Russia.

An enclave refers to the land under the jurisdiction of an administrative region but not adjacent to the region. Generally speaking, if an administrative subject owns an enclave, it can't reach it through its own administrative area, and it can only reach its own enclave by "flying over" the territory of other administrative subjects.

Historically, due to various reasons, there were "enclaves" in many places in Henan, of which four were the most famous. Let's take stock today.

Shang Jie District, Zhengzhou City 1

Shang Jie district.

Shang Jie District is located 38km west of Zhengzhou City, bordering Xingyang City. Established in 1958. It is an industrial city established by the state according to the need of building the second aluminum industrial base in the second five-year plan. It is the largest alumina production base in Asia, with a street area of 65km2 and a population of about150,000.

2. Geely District, Luoyang City

Jili District Century Plaza

Geely District is located on the north bank of the Yellow River in the northeast of Luoyang City, with an area of 80 square kilometers and a population of 269,000, which is 0/9 km away from the main urban area of Luoyang City. Geely, formerly known as Heyang, was established in 1982 due to the construction of Luoyang Refinery (now Luoyang Petrochemical Complex). It is an important petrochemical base in China and the largest petrochemical base in the central and western regions.

3. Shilong District, Pingdingshan City

Shilong District, Pingdingshan City

Shilong District of Pingdingshan City, also known as Pingdingshan West District, has a total area of 37.9 square kilometers and a total population of 56,000, facing the main city of Pingdingshan across Baofeng and Lushan. The scenic spots in Shilong District include Niangniang Mountain, Qingcaoling and Zushimiaoling.

4. Fanxian Ancient Town

1964, in order to solve the water conservancy problem in the border area between Henan and Shandong, the state adjusted the zoning, and included Fan County and the area south of Jindi under its jurisdiction into Henan Province, and the county seat was shelved in Shenxian County, 5 kilometers away from the county boundary. Regionalization made Jindi River flow into the Yellow River smoothly, which eased the contradiction between Henan and Shandong provinces, but made Fan County lose its tax source center, and the old county town of Fan County was trapped in Shandong for a long time, which hindered the development of the county town.

When many people hear enclaves, the first thing they think of must be enclaves. Or flying? Actually, it's not. Generally speaking, an enclave means that a place is located in Area A, but it belongs to Area B, just like it appears out of thin air, so it is called an enclave. Personally, I think Henan should be regarded as one of the places with the largest number of enclaves in China, because it borders Shandong, Shaanxi, Hubei and other provinces, so enclaves often occur, and there have been many jokes in history, and some areas have not changed so far. So why are there so many enclaves in Henan?

Henan is located in the Central Plains, where ancient wars frequently occurred. So many dynasties in history built their capitals in Henan. Of course, there are many reasons for the formation of Henan enclave. For example, as mentioned above, Shandong and Henan provinces have been neighbors since ancient times. Geographically, Fan County belongs to Shandong, but administratively, it is also under the control of the Henan government.

The reason for today's situation is that 1948 established a plain province, but it only lasted for three years, and then it was cancelled as a province. The counties and cities under it were divided back to the original province. Fan County originally belonged to Liaocheng, Shandong Province, and the junction of Henan and Shandong 1963 was flooded. Henan opened the floodgate to release water, but I didn't expect to put Fanxian and Zhangxian counties in Shandong Province.

There is a similar situation in Shicaogou Village, Xichuan County, Henan Province, but the difference is that Fan County is only modern, while Xichuan County has existed since ancient times. Shicaogou Village in Xichuan County is very poor, located in deep mountains and forests, surrounded by mountains, and the traffic is very inconvenient. There are only 74 families in this village, and most of the women are from Hubei. According to local residents, the origin of this place is a Jia family.

It is said that this family was originally from Jiagou Village, Henan Province, and came to settle in Hubei because of fleeing. However, due to disagreement with the local Wu family and going to court, local officials could not decide, so they wrote a letter to the emperor at that time. But the emperor was busy with everything and had no time to deal with land disputes between the two countries. So, he ordered officials from Hubei and Henan to judge the case, and whoever won the case, Shicaogou Village would be his.

The above is my personal answer to many enclaves in Henan. In fact, strictly speaking, the number of enclaves in Henan is only above average, and Qinghai Province is the largest enclave in China.

There are different reasons for the formation of enclaves, and they still exist now. Mainly the so-called enclave has no important resources and status. To put it bluntly, it belongs to the place that grandma doesn't love and grandpa doesn't love. Nobody wants it, so we have to follow the old system. Frankly speaking, such a place is very inconvenient for local people. As far as convenience is concerned, the principle of territoriality should be respected.

Fan county in Henan originally belonged to Shandong, but later it was assigned to Henan because of levee management problems. The old county town of Fanxian is surrounded by villages and towns in Shandong, and it is possible to reach Shandong in three steps. There are Shandong Mobile Unicom telecom business hall, as well as Henan business hall, banks, post offices, express delivery stations, schools and so on. , generally divided into Henan, Shandong and driver's license. The concepts of Henan and Shandong are not clear here. Few people will care. In daily life, mobile phones often receive messages from Shandong. Before, when the hukou was not strict, many people had two hukou, one in Henan and one in Shandong, both of them. Now that it's strictly controlled, this kind of thing rarely happens.

There is also an "enclave" in Henan that does not divide administrative divisions, which is equally interesting. It happened on both sides of the river, and there is a red river in my hometown. Villages named after the Bay are built along the river, such as Liwan, Guwan and Xiaowan. As the name implies, they are villages in the river bend. However, in the 1950s and 1960s, in order to "build the Huaihe River", the tributaries of the Huaihe River were cut off and straightened. So there is a strange phenomenon that only the village is in Hedong and all the cultivated land is in Hexi. Farming must rely on the ferry, and later it was more convenient to build a bridge. If there is a Zhuangzi named Qianjin, a big Zhuangzi is alone in Liqiao Township, and only cultivated land is in Zhuandian Township in Hexi. Of course, there is also a piece of land in the village across the river, which is a dime a dozen. For example, in Zhuangzi, after the river was straightened, a piece of land was left on the north bank of the river. When the water is heavy, the ferry can't be used. In the harvest season, you have to bypass the river bank and walk ten or twenty miles across the bridge to get home. It is not surprising that you have me and I have you in the areas along the Yangtze River.

Henan should be the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh enclave. I don't want to make a fool of myself. How can you make me feel sorry? I hope to read more books, don't have so many strange ideas, and have a good wash and sleep.

Tanggula Town in Qinghai Province borders Tibet and is also called "enclave town". The town covers an area of more than 48,000 square kilometers, which is half that of Zhejiang Province, and the enclave area ranks first.

Jiagedaqi is the capital of Daxinganling region in Heilongjiang Province, but Jiagedaqi is located in Inner Mongolia, with an enclave area of 1.587 square kilometers, ranking second.

Sanhe city, Dachang and Xianghe counties in Hebei Province, covering an area of 1.300 square kilometers. Originally it belonged to Langfang, but Beijing and Tianjin are mixed between it and Langfang. Lutai Economic Development Zone belongs to Tangshan City, Hebei Province, formerly Lutai Farm, with a total area of 133 square kilometers. And Hebei University is in Tianjin. . . . Enclave area 1400 square kilometers, ranking third.

There are also Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou and Ningxia. . . . . . . .
