I found that as long as I was thinking about other things in my mind, I didn't care much about what they said to me.

It is indeed easy to cry when talking to your parents, but if you want to stop this situation, you need to suppress your emotions. At least don't be so obvious when talking to your parents. Instead, try to suppress the thought that you want to cry. When you really have this thought, you can often suppress it.
