Help others a little, but not much. Why?

There is no absolute statement, just saying so, mainly depends on what kind of people you help.

If you are a very good friend and have helped you, you must help others when they are in trouble. Do your best.

If it's just friends or something, if it helps me a lot, it may bring some losses in the future.
