Chi Shangbin, five years younger than Genbao, is a contemporary of New China. "We (this batch) joined the national team on 1965, and Xiao Chi came in on 197 1 ..." Xu Genbao's younger brother, Xu Zubao, played for Nanjing Army, while Chi Shangbin's second brother played for Liaoning Team and was selected for the second national team.
