Does your name mean anything? Can you tell me why?

For the article about the name, you can see the following.

About name and fate

Dunzhe Ling

Many names have been changed, and many customers have asked me my name and fate. I will write a few words today. First of all, fame and life, don't be alarmist, this is professional ethics. This is also my first point.

Anyone who is familiar with history and Zhouyi knows that the original creation and application of Zhouyi was not for naming. Naming was not taken seriously until the society developed to a certain extent. Nomenclatologists come from the division of labor in modern society.

Contemporary expectant fathers and mothers generally attach great importance to baby names. What about the ancients? In fact, the ancients also attached great importance to it. For example, there is a saying that "a name stands and the moon lingers". It can be seen that ancient and modern parents are one. The ancients named it "making a name for yourself". When the baby is born in March, give it a name and crown it when it is weak. For example, Jiang Zhongzheng, the word intermediary stone. Mao Zedong, the word Runzhi. Zhuge Liang, the word Kong Ming. Du Fu has a beautiful saying. Basically, "character" is the explanation and development of "name".

There are many ways to name China, and there are also many factors that need attention. But everything remains the same. There are two ways to name it. One is the method of "taking meaning" and the other is the method of "taking numbers". The reason is closely related to China's culture of "image, number and reason".

For example, my own name-Wang Yin, as many people call it, was obtained by my father on the basis of eight characters by "mathematical method". Later, I took the pen name-Dunzhe Ling. I took it by the method of "righteousness". Dunzhe Ling symbolizes the interaction between Yin and Yang, the integration of heaven and earth and the unremitting pursuit of morality. I also explained this in my blog.

So does name have anything to do with fate? There must be. Name is the code name and business card of your life, which you use to face the society and everyone. So the name is directly related to you, not indirectly.

Then a good name is particularly important. So what kind of name is a good name and what influence does it have on a person? This should be puzzled by many people.

First, let's look at an experiment. A researcher took a 9-month-old baby to a social psychology class. He made about half the students think the child's name was "Keith", while others thought his name was "Karen". Then he asked college students to talk about their impressions of the baby, including physical characteristics, classroom behavior and personality. There is no difference between "Keith" and "Karen" in the two judgments that provide direct evidence in the scene-physical characteristics and classroom behavior. In terms of personality, people think that Keith is more active, noisy, active and rude than Karen. It can be seen that the name does have a certain influence on a person's first impression on others. The latest research by American scholars shows that having a good name will make people more attractive. Researchers believe that for women, female names with silent voices are the most attractive. For example, "Victoria" is an attractive name, while "Amy" is boring.

As you can see, the name, as the first business card of each of us, is just a symbol of words, but it has the holographic concept of information energy and words. A suitable good name and elegant nickname should be an elegant culture that keeps pace with the times and is influenced by fashion culture laws and regulations. It should be a pleasing landscape painting, a good poem with concise language and rich connotation.

The above experiment is not enough. We look at how names affect people from a psychological point of view. Professor Luo Zheng from the Department of Psychology of Peking University said that we all know Pavlov's classical conditioning principle. There are two kinds of conditioned reflex, which belong to the first signal system and the second signal system respectively. The first signal system is human's conditioned reflex to the natural attributes of things, and the second signal system is language and writing signal system, which is unique to human beings. Through this signal system, people master abstract things and make them concrete through subjective association and imagination.

For example, our "eating plums to quench our thirst" is an unconditional reflex, while "watching plums to quench our thirst" belongs to a conditioned reflex, that is, seeing the image of plums and feeling its shape, color and other information, which belongs to the conditioned reflex of the first signal system. And "say plum to quench thirst" means that when people say plum, they make a drooling reaction, but they don't see the real plum, which is the conditioned reflex of the second signal system.

The association when we talk about names is similar to the above example. In the process of learning language and writing, people have closely combined abstract words with real things and established a stable conditioned reflex. So when it comes to a person's name, people will start with the words that make up the name and have a subjective psychological reaction. If this person's name is associated with beautiful things, people will feel beautiful. And this aesthetic feeling is obviously good for the owner of the code name.

So I think: a loud, elegant and tasteful name will be conducive to social interaction, improve affinity, enhance interpersonal relationships and career development. This is science, not superstition.

Above, we expounded the influence of names on people from a scientific point of view. Next, let's talk about traditional culture.

A China name should understand the auspiciousness of China culture and China culture. This "auspicious" change is what I said above, "a loud, elegant and tasteful name." This kind of "auspiciousness" is the social environment, and the influence of environmental forces on us is undoubtedly enormous. "Three people hit a tiger", "The language theory of the masses can kill a person." All reflect such a power. Our name, naturally, is to be good people.

One person cries well, and thousands of people cry well; One year is good, 10 year is good, your name is good, and its owner naturally benefits. Just like praying, just like saying good luck, it affects you subconsciously. Maybe you have never considered the influence of your name on you.

China's auspiciousness is a combination of factors such as numerology, five elements, mathematical pattern and not infringing on the names of elders. It is this combination that can give us good hints and guidance, increase our energy, inspire us to make progress, make us work hard, strive for the upper reaches, and help us succeed in our cause.

So many celebrities, after becoming famous, often spend a lot of money to change a name. We are familiar with the renamed stars. Such as Jackie Chan, formerly known as Chen Gangsheng; Andy Lau, formerly known as Liu Furong; Shu Qi, formerly known as Lin Lihui; Jolin Tsai, formerly known as Cai Xiaoling. I won't give many examples.

Many customers will ask me, can changing my name change my destiny? I will tell him that no matter how important the name is, it is more important than myself.

Therefore, it is nonsense to try to change your destiny without trying to change your name. A good name, as I said above, will bring you good luck, facilitate your social interaction and give people a good first impression. Or it's convenient for you to "sell" yourself and fill out forms or something.

So what kind of name needs to be renamed? Personally, I think that if the ambiguity is not bad, there is no need to change the name of a name with bad homophonic sound. Of course, if the economy permits, you can exchange it for a better one.

Take the example I corrected: Huang Chong. This is a male name. Homophonic "locusts, yellow worms." Such a name is really worth changing. For example, I have seen the names of two sisters. My sister's name is Zhou Xiangyu. My sister's name is Zhou. Although it is convenient to consider it from eight characters, five elements, or five sides three times, it is not suitable. But no one suggested that they change their names.

Because the sound, shape, meaning and overall meaning of these two names are positive.

I have seen poor names collected by netizens on the Internet. The names of Shi, Bi Yuntao, Lai, Fan Jian, Ji, Xia, Zhu Yiqun, Pang Guang, Wei, Jiao Hougen, Shen Jingbing, Du Ziteng and Liu Chan should be changed.

What we discussed above is a person's name. What about the company name and trademark name? This is also the case. Companies are also "people".

This is about the relationship between name and fate. I believe that after reading this, you can objectively understand the knowledge of names.

There are many people who want to learn names and ask me how to learn them. What I want to tell you is that naming is easier to learn than to master. There is a lot of knowledge to master. Internationalization has arrived. It is difficult to choose a name that conforms to both China's "auspiciousness" and foreign "auspiciousness", and it is also necessary to avoid others' registration. I think this is one of the reasons why we scholars can gain a foothold in the industry.

Finally, I hope you can get what you want to read from it. I wish you good health and all the best.
