Is Xunliao Bay that bad? Why is it that everything said online is pretty good?

(Xunliao Bay, I have been there twice last year; the following is my personal experience)

Inspired by "Huidong Xunliao Bay, Oriental Hawaii, Oriental Maldives (their advertising slogan), Inspired by the beach with the clearest water quality in eastern Guangdong, I did not hesitate to travel 150 kilometers to visit this so-called "Oriental Hawaii". I wonder if these Huidong fishermen are so good at blowing! Even if the water quality is poor, the management and environmental awareness there are really unjustifiable. The beach sand is passable, but the water quality is worse than Dameisha! Very rubbish beach! The sea water is yellow and black, very bad! How bad is the water quality? I dived into the water and stretched out my hands. I couldn't see my fingers at all. I could only see looming shadows. It was truly "I can't see my fingers", which means the visibility was less than 0.5 meters, which is only 0.3 meters! While swimming on the beach of Golden Bay Hotel, the sewage near the hotel was actually discharged directly into the sea through the beach, causing the entire beach to smell like sewage. Shower facilities are also poor. If people who have never seen the sea come to Xunliao Bay, they will definitely have a sense of fear: "The water in Eastern Hawaii and the Eastern Maldives is so bad, the world's oceans will definitely be polluted, and the end of the world is near..." ."

Overall, it is worse than any other beach in Shenzhen! At least I have never seen a beach with such poor water quality in Shenzhen!

The Fengchi Island Hotel is better, but the Danga Bay, Jinyin Beach, and Deze Garden are just like what I mentioned above, with only one bad beach! It was a waste of my gas money for the 300 kilometers round trip! Also, the management of Xunliao Bay is very poor. Maybe this is the level of a backward place (I didn’t want to use the term "backward place", but poor management means backwardness). There is a row of hotels on the beach, and each hotel is circled on the beach. My own territory (except for the hotel, there are no other public beaches, and other than that it is an unmanaged desert beach), separated by the simplest barbed wire fence, it is very, very ugly! It gives people the feeling of a local bully enclosure. People have to eat, let’s talk about eating. Xunliao Bay in Huizhou is a very rubbish place. Eating out is much more expensive than the same restaurants in Shenzhen. Don’t go back to backward places and go to the seaside where seafood is cheaper. It’s twice as expensive as in Shenzhen.
