How should the "rejected pine nuts" face the doomed life?

I just finished the college entrance examination and went to have dinner with a senior.

Interestingly, he was interviewed by several media last year. As a representative of successful college entrepreneurs, he shared his college experience with the children who just finished the college entrance examination and are about to enter a more free and confused stage. This year, his company declared bankruptcy. After spending the last financing, he had a farewell dinner with employees in the office of a commercial and residential building in Suzhou Street.

I asked him how he felt after the ups and downs, and he told me that in an interview last year, what he said to reporters was too negative to report:

In the long years after the college entrance examination, children will try their best to screw up their lives, but please don't stop trying to make progress, which makes us lose gracefully.

Before the end of the meal, my brother shrugged and said that it was a big deal to start over.

After saying goodbye to my brother, I pondered his words. Old chicken soup, a successful science popularization, preaches day and night that "hard work will surely succeed", but from the primary school students who scratch their heads for the Olympics in the first grade, to the young people who worry about "pretending to live", and then to the urban middle class who have new crises every day, probably no one can confidently say that they are 100% satisfied with life.

In a sense, life is really a war full of failures.

When the Douban film was still regarded as the Bible by young artists, the film Life of Disliked Pine Nuts, which described "failure", remained high in various lists and films. Seven of the ten people who claim to be movie lovers will sign the most famous sentence "I was born a man, I'm sorry".

In recent years, on social networks, it seems that people no longer express the frustration of life failure, but are more willing to shape the chicken blood inspiration of successful people in Weibo and friends circle, or that the life of Buddhists is faint. At the same time, the experience of being hurt and betrayed by sensitive and clumsy pine nuts who have been eager to be loved has gradually been roughly summarized as "a story that a person with low emotional intelligence deserves to have", which is vague in the public's memory.

But her confession still made us tremble in countless late nights:

"When I was a child, everyone felt that their future was bright, didn't they? But once they grow up, nothing will come true. "

Yamadahara, the pine nut who wrote this sentence, was engaged in pesticide research in a pharmaceutical factory when he was young. At the age of 33, he wrote his first mystery novel and won a well-known domestic mystery award as soon as he debuted. Five years later, Matsuko debuted and became one of the most popular best-selling writers in Japan. In his fluent writing, he never gave up his concern about "failure".

Compared with the famous Pine Nut, the mystery novel Black Spring may not be famous enough, but it contains many important elements that Yamada Zongshu pays attention to in his creation: disease, the fate of women, the fragility of human nature, and how human beings should choose in the face of doomed life.

Although Black Spring tells the story of the collapse of fate like pine nuts, it is not a depressing novel. On the contrary, the approaching of unknown diseases, a suspenseful history related to the Sui Dynasty and a "reasoning team" composed of three young people from different backgrounds make the whole story look bloody and thrilling.

At the beginning of the story, Iwakura, the head of the germ laboratory, and the office workers who have been listening to each other on the Shinkansen all the year round are imparting workplace experience to the new young people-"Do you know? Only those who go all out can finally survive in this company. " At this time, Kazuo Iwakura didn't realize that he would witness a terrible Black Death attacking the whole of Japan, and there was no other way but to go all out to live.

When the disaster struck, Yamada Zongshu focused on the little people whose lives were unsatisfactory: Tetsuro Mishima was cheated by his girlfriend, his love life was bumpy and his career was blocked; Forensic doctor Shou Junshu has a happy family, but his wife is terminally ill because of jealousy, and her life is counting down. Iwakura was deeply involved in his trivial and boring daily life, and his illness made him rediscover the meaning of family. They are all like pine nuts. "Once they grow up, nothing will come true."

But the dialogue between three people is very touching:

"What human intelligence can never compete with ... exists outside human imagination."

"If there is such a thing in the world, even if there are thousands of difficulties and obstacles in Qian Qian, even if it is just a futile struggle, I think human beings will try their best to resist."

"Even knowing that there is no hope of winning?"

"yes."

Knowing that there is no chance of winning, these "losers" resolutely decide to fight for love and dignity and become the "secret and great" guardians of this world.

Set the story back to the beginning: the origin of the disease is simple. Three arrogant tourists opened the taboo box of 1400 years ago and made an irreparable mistake like every time humans foolishly screwed everything up.

Under such a grand background, Yamada Zongshu's ambition is not limited to writing a cool article about "Hope conquers despair". The "journey to solve the puzzle" of the three men was not smooth: they were blocked by their superiors, despised by the government, and failed after discovering something ... At the end of the story, several important people died of illness one after another, and the war between mankind and disease had just begun. At the end of this book, it's like when you are exhausted from climbing mountains, only to find that you are just climbing at the foot of a mountain, and there are endless dangerous peaks in the distance.

Therefore, Black Spring can hardly be simply classified as "suspense reasoning" or "sci-fi disaster" (although this book plays an excellent role in both types). This story is more like a metaphor for our life:

There are black unknown fears, as well as the hope and warmth of spring. And we can only run hard in a seemingly doomed war and bravely wait for the arrival of spring.
