The story of Zhang Zhongjing

Zhang Zhongjing's story:

Zhang Zhongjing was a famous doctor in the late Han Dynasty, and he was known as the "sage of medicine". He came from a big family, but less than ten years after the early years of Jian 'an, two-thirds of people died of epidemic diseases, and seven out of ten of them died of typhoid fever. Faced with such a serious epidemic, he was sympathetic and determined to become a doctor. After years of hard study and practice, he finally wrote the immortal medical masterpiece Treatise on Febrile Diseases.

In the process of practicing medicine, he once met a patient whose face flushed, his body temperature rose and his pulse was vain while practicing medicine. After careful diagnosis, he judged that the patient had typhoid fever. In order to treat patients, he wrote a prescription and wrote "Dr. Zhang Zhongjing is in class" at the prescription. Since then, every time he goes to the clinic to practice medicine, he will write "Dr. Zhang Zhongjing" on the prescription, which has become a special tradition and has continued to this day.

Zhang Zhongjing has superb medical skills and is deeply loved by the people. During his tenure as magistrate in Changsha, he was busy with government affairs and did not forget to save lives. Many patients came here to see a doctor. His concern and care for patients are deeply admired and loved by people.

Zhang Zhongjing's medical thought was deeply influenced by later generations. He advocated "the unity of heaven and man" and believed that the five internal organs of the human body were interrelated and restricted each other. He emphasized "syndrome differentiation and treatment" and thought that the treatment plan should be formulated according to the specific situation of patients, rather than using fixed prescriptions invariably. His medical thoughts and methods are still widely used in clinic.
