Please help explain the basic relationship between verbs, past participles, passive voice, and active voice. I am confused.

Verb: represented by v in the word list, as mentioned above, it is the soul of English sentences and the most basic component of English sentence structure.

The most basic sentence structure: subject, predicate and object (the predicate is the verb.)

For example: i like dog. (like)

Past participle: It is a form of verb conjugation. A variation of the general rule is to add -ed to the end of the verb. If the verb ends in e, add d directly. If the verb ends in y, change y to i and add -ed. There is a table on the last page of the English book for special variations that you need to memorize. Remember the special ones, the rest are rule changes.

Passive voice: It is a form of voice in English. Its expression is be (am is are), the past participle of the verb. As the name suggests, it is translated as...be....

For example: the window was broken. (The window was broken)

She was followed. (She was followed)

Active voice: That's upstairs In other words, the subject is the performer of the action.

For example: My father wrote the book. (My father wrote this book)

Change to passive sentence: The book was written by my father. Written by my father)
