A true story-the touching story of the girl and the red-crowned crane
The little girl's name is Xu Xiujuan. Influenced by his parents, Juanzi has a deep affection for the red-crowned crane since he was a child, even stronger than his parents. At the age of seventeen, high school was closed, and Juanzi came to the nature reserve as a temporary worker. She is very enthusiastic about her work. She does well in catering and nursing. The survival rate of her young cranes reached 100%. People call her "the first crane tamer in China". Many red-crowned cranes have become her friends, and one of them always likes to stick to her. She called it "Lai Maozi". One day, a reed cutter suddenly thought of poaching. When Lai Maozi approached him defenseless, he was suddenly strangled and tried to kill him. Fortunately, Xu Xiujuan, who was passing by here, heard its miserable cry and rushed over desperately, fighting with the man to the death, and finally saved his life. Since then, "Lai Maozi" has become more affectionate and attached to Juanzi.
Later, Juanzi came to Northeast Forestry University for further study. Every day, she spends all her time studying birds except eating and sleeping. It took her only two years to complete all the courses. 1986 was invited by Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, hoping to help establish a rare bird sanctuary. Juanzi immediately left his hometown and went to the south. With her, there are three red-crowned crane eggs in the wetland. It is 2500 kilometers from Zhalong Wetland in Heilongjiang to Yancheng in Jiangsu. Juanzi used his body temperature to protect crane eggs and traveled for three days and nights. Finally, shortly after arriving in Yancheng, three red-crowned cranes hatched, which brought precious biological resources to Yancheng and created a miracle of hatching red-crowned cranes in low latitudes.
Just when Juanzi dedicated her youth to her career, God didn't care for this kind girl. 1987 September 15, when she was bathing two red-crowned cranes, one of them suddenly flew away, and Juanzi dragged the sick body to look for it until late at night. During the search, another "Mu Ren" also flew away. The next day, Xu Xiujuan went to look for it again. When she heard "Mu Ren" singing on the other side of the river, she immediately jumped into the river and swam to the other side. In the middle of the river, Xu Xiujuan, who was sick and tired, was swallowed up by the cold river and died at the age of 23.
The day the body was salvaged, everyone present was heartbroken. "Dawn" and "Mu Ren" wailed in the sky and kept falling down to tidy up her wet clothes with their long beaks. In Zhalong's hometown, "Lai Maozi" didn't think about tea and rice every day, moaned to the south, and finally died of depression. At Juanzi's memorial service, nearly a thousand people came to see her off. The two recovered cranes never flew out to play again. It is said that in Tomb-Sweeping Day that year, a group of red-crowned cranes hovered in front of Juanzi's grave for a long time when they were preparing to fly north. ...
