Do mopeds need to be licensed?

Bicycles need to be licensed, which are generally divided into electric bicycles and fuel bicycles.

According to China's traffic safety law, electric mopeds belong to non-motor vehicles. However, according to the requirements, the classification is as follows:

1. Electric moped. Such vehicles must apply for an electric vehicle license. If the driver does not meet the requirements of a temporary driver's license, the driver does not need a driver's license.

2. Fuel moped. This requires a motorcycle driver's license and the driver needs an F driver's license.

Of course, there is a clear definition of the speed and weight of a car here. The vehicle speed shall not be higher than 20KM/h and the vehicle weight shall not be higher than 40kg.

Those exceeding the above limits are motorcycles or assembled motor vehicles.
