It is more difficult for beginners. Simple setting of frequency-up DSD for foobar2000 pcm

There are often bar friends who ask questions because of the relevant settings of DSD.

With its powerful functions and numerous plug-ins, Foobar is deeply loved by music lovers. But the setup needs some experience, and it is difficult for beginners to get started. I just briefly talk about the setting of real-time up-conversion of audio files of various formats to DSD.

First of all, you need a sound card that can hard decode DSD, and then with the appropriate version of foobar2000, it can be achieved through simple settings.

It is said that my sound card is a rhythm tank HD Pro, the specification is 32bit/384000hz/DSD256 native, and it is a linear sound card, which can be used by both mobile phones and pc terminals. Less than 200 yuan, the quality and function are acceptable, meeting the hardware requirements.

The version of foobar2000 is the Chinese version of1.6.9 Asian.

Let's look at the settings:

First, output the page. Select a sound card. For example, my sound card is SONATA-HD. Remember not to choose other dazzling names, but choose ASIO: (here is the name of your sound card), because only ASIO mode can decode DSD hardware.

Second, the DSD processor page. Tick in the orange wireframe; In the green wireframe, if you don't know what it means, just follow my settings. Click _ to change the parameter settings. The screenshot of "Precision" on the far right is not displayed, just change it to "int". If you understand the meaning of these settings, you can change them yourself.

Third, SACD page. The settings are still according to mine. If you just want to upload DSD and don't want to do anything else, just change the "type" in the orange wireframe to "DSD". The following settings are shown in the figure.

Don't worry about other settings in foobar2000. As long as these three pages are set up, you can play on DSD. Of course, if your audio format is too miscellaneous, some songs are not integer multiples of 44 100hz, such as 48000hz and 96000hz, so you can't sound normally. You need to add load sampling to the DSP Manager page and set the target sampling rate to 88200hz or 176400hz. These are the simplest settings, so I won't expand them.

Then you can enjoy the effect that PCM frequency is as high as DSD. I don't need to say the benefits, I understand them myself. I believe that since you want to improve the frequency, you must have a preliminary understanding through some articles.

The following figure shows the effect of WAV+cue real-time upconversion to DSD64. My sound card has a playback monitoring panel, which can see the audio format played. It can be seen that wav has become DSD64 format when it is output to the sound card after being processed by foobar2000.

Finally, foobar2000 sets the final output DSD to Dop mode. If you need native mode, you can install DSD transcoder to realize it.
