Reflections on the Teaching of "Pasture Country"

"Ranch Country" is lesson 19 in Unit 7, Book 2, Grade 5. This paper shows us the quiet, peaceful and free exotic scenery of Holland from day to night. The structure of this article is clear. From reading aloud again and again, we can feel the beautiful scenery of the Netherlands and the author's love and praise for the Netherlands. So I used reading instead of speaking to learn this lesson.

In the first class, I introduced a new lesson with "Knowing Holland". When it comes to Holland, people think of tulips, windmills, the Grand Canal and pastures. Therefore, Holland is a country of water and flowers. The students said with one voice, "It is also a country of pasture". Faced with different texts and different landscapes, students are very interested in this.

Because there was no homework in advance, the students seemed to be suddenly enlightened and began to read the text and learn new words. I'm glad to see this. If students can study independently in every class, then I am really relaxed. I conveniently told my classmates that they had ten minutes to preview independently, and asked the master to check the preview of the basic knowledge of the younger brothers and sisters and give guidance.

In the preview test, monk Yu Nana still can't read the new words correctly. Tian can read new words fluently and accurately. Shang's pronunciation and word formation are correct. Hardly had he finished reading when the classroom burst into warm applause. This is the recognition and praise of his classmates. As long as you study hard, your progress can be seen by your teachers and classmates. I immediately praised Shang and his master Wang Xiaoyu. The two of them are beaming and the whole class is very serious. Therefore, I should pay more attention, praise and encourage in class. Teachers' gentle praise can arouse a thousand waves in students' hearts and inspire them to forge ahead.

After learning the basic knowledge, I asked the students to read the text silently and talk about their feelings after reading it. Students have said: beautiful, quiet, free. This is our first impression of Holland. Later, I used the methods of reading by boys and girls, reading freely and reading my favorite paragraphs by name to feel the beauty of peace and harmony in Holland again. In this class, I spent most of my time reading the text.

Class is over. Think about it. When students talk about their first reading feelings and where they have read such feelings, can they understand the text more deeply?

There is no courseware in class recently, and the class depends entirely on a blackboard and a piece of chalk. The classroom effect is much better than before. In the past, I always tended to use courseware in class. If I don't comb the courseware repeatedly, there will always be situations where the transition is not smooth and the ideas don't correspond to the courseware, which will especially affect the classroom state. Students still stare at the courseware from time to time, and even copy the courseware, so the time for thinking is much less. Without courseware, students are more focused and calm. Courseware is a teaching tool and serves teaching. How to teach and how to teach effectively are problems that teachers should think about. The way is not important, but learning is important.

In the second class, I mainly design teaching problems around after-class exercises. 1. What does the Netherlands look like in the author's eyes? Why does the author repeatedly emphasize that "this is the real Netherlands?" Many sentences in the text are very interesting. Find and read them. 3. Sort out the structure of the article and make a class summary.

At first, the students all answered the Netherlands in the author's eyes with the original words in the article. For example, Deng Ruanping said: "From a distance, there are green velvet grasslands and black and white cows all around. This is the real Netherlands. " I first affirmed her train of thought and found the correct sentence. It would be better if it could be summarized. Under the guidance, students can say that in the author's eyes, "green grassland, cattle grazing intently" is what the author sees. Therefore, we summarize the real Netherlands in the author's eyes as "cattle on the green grassland". With such an example, other students' brains suddenly opened wide. After revision, it is concluded that the Netherlands in the author's eyes is "horses fly freely, pigs, sheep, chickens and other animals are free, cattle and sheep rest at night, and everything is silent". So in the author's eyes, the real Holland is quiet, free and carefree.

As for why the author repeatedly stressed that "this is the real Netherlands!" Dong Jiajun was eager to answer, but he was speechless and patted his thigh anxiously. Finally, they said in Yichuan dialect, "Because Holland is so beautiful!" Indeed, I fully affirmed his ideas. When I asked him if he could tell me what kind of emotion made the author emphasize "this is the real Holland" four times, he clenched his fist with one hand and hit the palm of the other hand, as if to come out, but he didn't come out. Wang Xiaoyu and Wang can't wait, "because of admiration" and "can strongly express the author's praise", they said in tandem. I gave them a thumbs-up sign. I put their answers together, sort them out, and then combine "words and sentences" to make students understand them again.

After class, I was thinking that sometimes there are some emotions in our hearts that we want to express, but we have no vocabulary. There is a feeling that you can only understand but can't explain. This should be because of my lack of experience and accumulation. For students, reading accumulation is an important step in their learning and growth. Only by accumulating more can we have more vocabulary and better understanding ability. Therefore, reading accumulation should be carefully implemented to guide students to read.
