Zhuanglang social fire has a long history. Every spring festival, during the slack season, everyone gets together to play social fire and celebrate the spring festival. I wish the coming year a bumper harvest of grain, prosperity of six livestock and happiness without illness. Over time, it has become a custom.

I really can't imagine what other activities besides social fire can make people in the hinterland of the Loess Plateau so passionate and energetic. People there have been used to facing the loess with their backs to the sky for generations. Some people may feel that their passion has long been buried in the deep yellow mud, and some people may feel that the life at sunrise and sunset makes them forget the fun of life. But when you see the social fire performance, you will sincerely admire: the vigorous strength and fiery passion bred on the yellow land are the real praise for life!

There are two kinds of village fires in Zhuanglang. One is to call the gestures and actions of people dressed as plays or historical stories in the form of walking on stilts or riding horses social fires. The other is because fireworks are often accompanied in performing festivals such as playing lions, running dry boats, dancing dragon lanterns, dancing yangko, beating waist drums, whipping, big-head monk dance dancing, playing spring cattle and running donkeys, so this performance form is called social fire.

There is a social fire in the first month. During the Spring Festival, people who have been busy for a year can finally have a rest. After eating, I wanted to have some fun and exercise my muscles, so people of all ages began to make a fire.

On the fourth day, fifth day, sixth day, seventh day, eighth day and ninth day of the first month, social fire performances will be held in all parts of Zhuanglang countryside, which is called "playing social fire" by local people.

Under the spring breeze of western development, the life of Zhuanglang people has been greatly improved, and the forms of social fire have also changed, but the only constant is the spirit of Zhuanglang people who dare to fight against heaven and earth. The primitive, simple and vigorous power deposited on the yellow land is endless, which makes this land full of vitality and hope. When watching the social fire performance, you will find that in those solid bodies, there is a kind of fire burning constantly, forever releasing infinite passion for the persistent pursuit of a better life.

Social fire is a precious heritage of our national culture. It is rooted in life, comes from the people and is well received by the masses. For thousands of years, through the continuous creation and development of folk artists and the masses, it has become a unique folk performing art.

As far as Zhuanglang Shehuo is concerned, it is a traditional folk cultural activity of Han nationality with a long history. Zhuanglang Shehuo originated in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and was popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China. It developed in the eighties and nineties of reform and opening up. Now it has developed into a mass Han folk art and entertainment activity with fixed facial makeup, costumes, props and performance time. According to legend, General Liu Hu recovered Shuiluo City in the Song Dynasty and built a city to protect the local people, which was admired by all previous dynasties. Therefore, on the 12th day of the first month of each year, people from all directions in Zhuanglang spontaneously organize social fire teams to perform in the city to commemorate the immortal feats of "General Ye". Since then, the scale of social fire has been expanded year by year, and the content has been brought forth new ideas, which has evolved into an important annual custom in which the people of the county have widely participated, and has been included in the national intangible cultural heritage.

Street stall activity in Zhuanglang County is also a spontaneous night large-scale cultural performance held by local people during the Lunar New Year or temple fair to welcome the Spring Festival, worship the gods, drive away the epidemic and carnival, which is part of the social fire.

Ma Shehuo, Gao Guai, Spring Cattle, Running Shehuo, etc. Zhuanglang cake is a three-dimensional plastic arts. It is to install an iron column on a wooden platform, take a solidified plot from myths and legends or historical allusions, make landscapes, flowers, plants, animals or utensils with colored strips and silks, disguise the iron column, tie up children dressed as characters, hold props to show off the characters, and form an artistic image with exaggerated methods, which has high artistry and appreciation. Ma Shehuo is also called "Horse Story". Round mules and horses are covered with gorgeous bedding, and the dressed Shanliwa sits on it, and the rumbling drums lead the way. Costumers make up historical story characters and pose on horseback, using their faces, costumes and props to identify the plot. In Zhudian and Yangchuan areas of Zhuanglang County, it is best to wear smart clothes, robes, horse hooks, ribbons around the waist, respectful hands or tea and wine vessels, and no costumes. On the White Mountain, there are many local warriors, such as Bai Bao, Wolong and Dazhuang. Dresser holding props, even covered with hydrangeas and mirrors, injured people, magnificent. High crutches are stilts, also known as "wooden crutches" and "wicker legs". Some are more than one meter high, and some are two meters high. During the performance, they also dressed up as historical story figures, dusted their hands or kept their weapons in balance, and some people played tricks such as turning over. There are people in their fifties, teenagers and young wives on stilts.

Running the social fire is more casual, and the actors move forward in different forms. Most of them were Tang Priest and Master, followed by farmers pulling wooden plows, followed by a few black-faced people with pots of ink. A dung bucket was hung on the chest, which contained plant ash and was specially sprinkled on the girl's face. At last, a group of boys and girls were singing and dancing, making noise and singing nonstop.

"Night social fire", also known as "night story" and "street stall", is popular in the county. People in Zhuanglang County used to call it "playing with carpets". From the first day of the first month to the end of February, there are also performances in Tomb-Sweeping Day. The content includes roller boating, singing ditty, laughing stand, allegro, opera, lion dance and so on. Singing ditty is the main content of nightclub fire. The form is four men and four women performing, or several women singing. Everyone holds a flying brush (blowing dust) or a money whip (pulling whip), followed by Xiao Dan, accompanied by gongs and drums; Sing a song, accompanied by drum music around the venue, until the end of the song.

Zhuang Lang Xiaoqu is rich in tunes, reflecting the love and historical stories of men and women, and exhorting kindness and filial piety. The legendary swordsman is a single-person or multi-angle rap program, which focuses on historical ancients, suppresses evil and promotes good, and criticizes current disadvantages. Humorous language, free form, casual movements, incomplete stories, rap and sing, and stop acting at will. There is no script, and the second is uncertainty. It's all oral instruction and improvisation. The dry boat appeared in the form of night sailing, with lights on the bow and stern, the dragon leading the way, Xiao Dan sitting in the cabin, and the boatman (Ugly Dan) chasing after him, performing humor. Some two ships crossed, collided, ran aground, etc. And the action is clever. Accompanied by boat songs, singing for a while, accompanied by gongs and drums for a while, so lively.

Playing the lion is the end of the nightclub fire. Lion dancers dressed as samurai have generally studied martial arts. Jumping on the table, I read four old sayings first: "The green-maned lion is a hairy ball, and the bodhisattva descended to earth. The Chinese New Year is on the head, and it is rich for thousands of years. " Dance lanterns, command the lion to jump on the table, roll, watch lanterns and other performances, subdue the lion with martial arts fists and feet, and finally ride the lion away.
