Where is Suidi?

The site of Sui Dyke is located in yongcheng city, Henan Province. In the first year of the great cause of Sui Dynasty (605), Jiqu was opened, and peach willows were planted on both sides of the river for Yang Di Emperor Yang Guang to watch when he was on a dragon boat tour in the south. Now the river is silted up and the dike site is still there.

Sui dike, the name of ancient dike. Therefore, the site is located in the Bianhe area of Kaifeng, Henan Province, and is named after it was built in the Sui Dynasty. In the first year of Yang Di's great cause, a collection canal was opened to draw valley water and Luoshui from Xiyuan into the Yellow River. The Yellow River enters Bianshui from Bambusa bambusa and reaches Huaihe River via Surabaya. Han ditch has been opened again, from the Yangtze River to the Yangtze River. The canal is 40 steps wide, and the Imperial Road is built next to it. Willow stars plant flowing water, starting from the Yellow River in the west and reaching the Huaihe River in the east, showing the feeling of swaying green shadows. Tang Bai Juyi's poem Sui Liu Di says: "Sui Liu Di, aged for a long time, is decadent, the wind is fluttering, the rain is rustling, and there are three plants and two plants in the estuary." Liu Yuxi's Catkin in the Tang Dynasty: "Where the wind is like snow, the river dam is on the ancient Jiangjin." He Guangyuan of Houshu wrote "A Record of National subjugation and Lessons": "The emperor will be lucky to come to Jiangdu, open the Bianhe River and plant willows. Since then, posthumous title has been Emperor Yangdi." Song Zhou Bangyan's "Warrior Lan Ling" words: "On the Sui Dyke, I saw it several times, and the water fluttered to bid farewell."

Suidi is located on the Zhengzhou-Yongcheng highway in central yongcheng city, starting from Zhengdian in Mamu Township in the west and huzhuang in Houling Township in the east. It stretches for 45 kilometers and is mound-shaped, ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters from the ground. It was called Bianhe in the Northern Song Dynasty. After that, the river silted up and the dike site still existed. This is an obvious part of the old site of the levee. In ancient times, "Sui Ada" was one of the eight scenic spots in Yongcheng.
