An overview of Mu's characters

Mu was originally the daughter of Mukezhai Muyu. It is said that Lishan's mother taught her to use an arrow knife. Because he fought Yang Zongbao before the battle and captured him alive, he married Yang Jiajiang and became an outstanding woman in Yangmen.

Mu Guiying and Yang Jiajiang fought side by side and made great achievements. She Taijun was in command at the age of 100 and led 12 widows to Xixia. Mu, a middle-aged pioneer, went deep into danger, struggled hard and won a great victory, and then led Pingnan. She is a typical heroine image in Chinese popular literature.

Dramatic image

Mu, played by Chen Suzhen, the queen of Henan Opera, is a large-scale serial drama, including Dragon Tree, Shepherd's Club, Mukezhai, Dayuanmen, Earthshaking Gate and Zhanhongzhou. The latter actor likes to take it apart and perform it alone.

Lao Zhengdong or Yang seized the printing of Henan opera works. 1954 was adapted from Song Ci, renamed Mu, and performed by Henan Opera Troupe in Luoyang City, Henan Province. The play was published in 1956 and included in the third volume of Selected Plays (1959).
