Check whether there is empty drum on the wall.

When accepting the wall, stick several layers of paper on the wall and tap it with a hard object. If some falsetto sounds are made, there will be empty drums. Make a mark at this time and remember to fill it in later.

Check the wall for water leakage.

Test after rain, touch the wall with your hands to see if there is water stain or wet surface. If there is water stain, there will be leakage, so it should be repaired in time!

Check whether there are cracks on the wall.

Exterior walls, load-bearing walls, floors, balconies and other walls. It is the place where cracks occur most frequently. It should be noted that details such as wall roots and corners are also easily overlooked, so special attention should be paid.

Check the flatness of the wall.

Is the smooth wall seen by the naked eye really smooth? It doesn't have to be like this. It is suggested to illuminate the wall with high-power light bulbs, and see the unevenness or particles on the wall through the shadow of light.

Check whether the wall is vertical.

You can stick the square ruler on the wall. It is best that the wall and the square ruler are close together without gaps. The error of 2 mm is acceptable, but if the error is greater than 2 mm, it proves that the wall is uneven.

Testing the water resistance of putty layer

After this batch of putty is dry, water can be poured on the wall before polishing acceptance. The next day, after the water stains on the wall are dry, gently wipe the wall with your fingers, and the qualified water-resistant putty will not fall off. Only using qualified water-resistant putty can achieve good water-resistant effect.
