Understand life, why Buddhism emphasizes the heart in doing things.

The layman asked, Master, I have been studying Buddhism for six years. Although I didn't practice dharma very much, I developed bodhicitta. Could you please talk about continuing to practice bodhicitta?

A: I studied Buddhism for six years. Although I didn't do anything, I have already made a bodhi mind! ? Don't say that you haven't practiced Buddhism, even people who have practiced Buddhism for a long time dare not easily say that they have developed bodhicitta! The reason why I said that I had bodhicitta was because I had only a little kindness and was mistaken for bodhicitta. However, what is bodhicitta? Bodhicitta is to let go of your love from the heart, at will and completely. In order to save all sentient beings, whether walking, living, sitting or lying in a dream, we never forget to seek the consciousness of supreme equality. Just like a mother's feeling, her only son is about to be sent to the execution ground, and she has the heart to save all sentient beings, which is compassion. When you have this idea, you can cultivate your mind. After you have a growing mind, you can practice bodhicitta.

For example, when you see a person infected with SARS virus or other very serious infectious diseases, you have no fear and separation in your heart, and you take care of the patients with strong sympathy. This is not bodhicitta, it is just a kind of great compassion, and then I shouldered the burden of saving all sentient beings without any worries, affectation and luck. With such an increase in mind, this mind will be further deepened and become a bodhicitta that benefits all sentient beings, so as to quickly prove their supreme sense of justice until any lucky bodhicitta is born. I know best whether I have this kind of heart or not. Sitting in a temple and feeling that you have no fear doesn't count. I don't believe that one day I will put on a white coat and try it in the hospital. When I want to touch this patient, I don't have any worries and fears. I feel very strong sympathy and relief. This is almost merciful, and then I will cultivate my mind, and then I will cultivate bodhicitta. I studied Buddhism for six years and didn't practice anything. How can we have bodhicitta?
