when I was studying at Columbia university, there was a small supermarket downstairs in my apartment, and I could also make copies. Every time I make a copy, it's DIY. I print it myself and count the sheets. The copier is still a certain distance from the counter. When I get it to the counter, the clerk will charge me according to the number I reported, and I will never count it again. It's nice to feel fully trusted. At home, I have experienced the opposite situation.

It's also a small supermarket. I was stared at by the clerk inside from the moment I entered. When I walk from one row of shelves to another, the clerk will also appear at the end of the same row. of course, it is good for the clerk to look at it from a distance. Once in an airport bookstore in a city, no matter where I go, the girl in the shop assistant always follows me one elbow behind me. In many schools in the United States, white paper is placed in an open area for everyone to copy and print. Because I trust you to take as much as you want. This kind of trust is actually built on the basis of relatively rich materials.

once, when printing in the school computer room, every student's account had a quota for free printing. As a result, once the printer broke down, my quota disappeared for no reason. I found the staff in the computer room and briefly explained the situation. He asked me: How many cards were lost? I said the number, and he immediately added it to me from the system, without asking me to make up the money at all. Trust everything I say. A similar example is that some students often ask me a question when writing application materials for going abroad: Teacher, I said in my resume and personal statement that I won such an award and participated in such an activity. once, when I was studying by myself, I wanted to look up information in the library of Columbia University Business School. Because I didn't know that bottled water was not allowed in this library before, I walked in with a bottle of orange juice. The classmate in charge of the door stopped me and said, you can't take it in. I thought I had to throw it away, but I didn't expect them to give me a cup like a kettle with good texture and shape, saying, you can pour orange juice into it and bring it in. But in many parts of America, umbrellas are just there for people to take in rainy days, because they believe you will return them.

once, my mother and I went shopping in China city. On the way back, mother found that she had lost the key to her apartment.
