Back to painting, talent is not as good as hard work

I have been a child who has been highly praised for painting since I was a child. I have a talent for painting that no other child of the same age has. The works in art class are always praised by the teacher, and envied and even respected by the classmates; the publicity committee member I replaced is not as talented as me, but I am still very serious and the teacher is very satisfied; small pictorials, small productions, etc. Those who are not outstanding are pasted at the back of the classroom for classmates to watch...

I don’t know whether this talent is innate or acquired. The earliest time I can recall is when I In my hometown, I don’t know whether I went to elementary school or not. I moved a small stool and a high stool to the door. The high stool became the "desk" and placed a copy of a picture book that I don’t remember where it came from. Each page has a Cartoon characters composed of lines include Sun Wukong, Nezha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Black Cat Sheriff, Shuke and Beta... They are all cartoon characters from my childhood in my era. I carefully followed the lines in the album and copied them on the transparent paper one by one with almost no deviation. I painted for an entire afternoon until it got dark. (ps: At that time, when I came home from school, I would do my homework at the door, because there were no incandescent lights at that time, only light bulbs with dim yellow light)

I can’t remember too much about my childhood. I replaced a publicity committee member whose painting talent was no weaker than mine, but my serious work on the blackboard newspaper was recognized by the teacher; I once submitted a painting competition in the youth newspaper and won an award; every time the class teacher in junior high school asked me to draw a small pictorial, I could always draw it. Among the outstanding ones, it was posted at the back of the classroom for classmates to enjoy; I often made some small productions following the TV show, and represented the school in the Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition and won the provincial third prize; in high school and college, I also drew a few idols from time to time. Sketching...

However, these painting experiences are very few, because I don’t want to be a painter, and naturally I don’t strive for it. I just have a whim and have leisure and elegance. Then I picked up the "paint brush" and painted it. If I had practiced more and systematically learned painting techniques in the past, I would have gained some achievements in painting.

Suddenly I remembered a classical Chinese article I learned in the past - "Shang Zhongyong". "Zhongyong's enlightenment is received by heaven. The heaven he receives is that a wise person is far away from the talented person. If he is killed by many people, he will not be accepted by others. The heaven he receives is so wise. Yes, if you don’t accept it, it’s for everyone; if you don’t accept it now, it’s for everyone, but if you don’t accept it, it’s just for everyone?”

No matter how high your starting point is, We must pay attention to acquired learning and education. Persistence and hard work are the keys to success.

Now I’m picking up my paintbrush again, and I humbly learn from everyone. I hope that one day I can become a real person who can draw. I look forward to your advice!
