Yixing, located in Taihu Lake Basin in the Yangtze River Delta, belongs to Wuxi City, 64 kilometers west of Taihu Lake, bordering Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, and is the southernmost county in Jiangsu Province. Yixing Su is famous for its ceramic technology. From geometric printed hard pottery, primitive celadon to exquisite purple sand pottery, it is the top grade of pottery. Yixing pottery making technology strives for perfection and continuous improvement. Yixing pottery was invented in the Neolithic Age more than 5,000 years ago, matured in the Jin and Song Dynasties, and shined brilliantly in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. According to legend, Heshi in the Spring and Autumn Period also made pottery here. At present, Dingshu Town, Yixing Ceramic Industry Center, has developed from a market town where every household makes bricks and kilns everywhere to a multi-variety ceramic industrial base with more than 20 factories and nearly 20,000 workers.

Yixing is also known as the production base of tea and bamboo. Yixing Yangxian Purple Bamboo Tea has always been as famous as Hangzhou Longjing Tea and Suzhou Biluochun, and has been listed as a tribute. During the Three Kingdoms period, "Guoshan Shuncha" dominated the south of the Yangtze River, and the Tang Dynasty was famous for "Yanggong Tea". In Yixing mountain area, the tea garden slopes along the mountain as far as the eye can see, which is called "the oasis of tea". Taihua Mountain here is the largest bamboo base in Jiangsu. The bamboo forest area of the city is 6.5438+0.8 million mu. Bamboo is connected with hills and slopes, high and dense, with layers of green. When the mountain wind passes by, bamboo shadows sway and green waves fluctuate, which is called "Bamboo Sea".

Yixing is known as the "cave world", and there are more than 80 caves in different shapes in the city. In particular, Shanjuan Cave, which is known as "the first monument in the south of the Yangtze River" and "the wonder in the sea", as well as Zhanggong Cave and colorful Guling Cave are world-famous.
