Translation:

When I went to the frontier of Wan Li, I decided to make contributions and seal Hou, and I was alone in Liangzhou. The days of guarding the border pass passed like a dream, and I didn't know where to look, only this dusty mink was left. Before the conference semifinals were destroyed, my sideburns were as gray as autumn frost, and tears could not help flowing down. Who would have expected in this life that my heart was on the front line of the Anti-Japanese War, but people were getting old in Cangzhou.

This word expresses the poet's deep sorrow and indignation at the failure to report the national enemy and the difficulty in paying his ambition.

In the second year of Lu You's birth, the Northern Song Dynasty was destroyed by the Jin people. When Lu You was young, he yearned for the Central Plains and recovered lost ground. At the age of 48, he went to Nanzheng (now Hanzhong, Shaanxi), the northwest front line, and participated in military activities at Wang Yan, the ambassador of Sichuan and Shaanxi. This is Zhuge Liang's character of always fighting for the recovery of rivers and mountains in the Northern Expedition, so his ideals and wishes can only become full of anxiety and anger, which is often shown in his poems. This word is a famous article expressing the above feelings after retiring from Yinshan in his later years.

"Wan Li asks for Hou", here I borrow two sentences from Ban Chao's allusions (The Book of the Later Han Dynasty, Qin Ce) to express my lofty aspirations. "Where is the dream of closing the river?" Here, I borrow Su Qin's allusions (Warring States Policy and Qin Policy) to say that I have not been reused and have not fulfilled my ambition.

"Hu is still alive, it is autumn, and tears are streaming down his face." At the head-changing place, there are three three sentences, which are parallel in form and full of meaning. "Hu is still alive" is linked to the last "Wanli seeks to seal Hou" just to destroy the enemy, but "Hu is still alive" itself is old, and its temples are already gray, such as autumn frost. In autumn, the leaves of the trees turn yellow, which indicates that the year is coming to an end, and here it means old age and disability. I should have joined the army in my prime and swallowed it, but I don't want to be old now, but I am old. This sentence is related to the last three or four sentences. "Tears flow empty", tears flow away in vain, to no avail. Three words bear two words, infinite grief. "Who knows that in this life, my heart is in Tianshan and I am always in Cangzhou." The conclusion is more profound. Heart in Tianshan Mountain sets the story of Tianshan Mountain with Xue's three arrows, but it focuses on Wan Li and Liangzhou. Tianshan Mountain is in the northwest, sending troops to the northwest and setting the Central Plains in the north. I will never forget it. But this body is old and can't do anything about state affairs. In the past, people in politics took seclusion in Cangzhou as their leisure and happiness in their later years. Lu You writes from the perspective of "Hu is not dead", but his heart is always in Tianshan Mountain. However, the contradiction between "old in Cangzhou" and "heart" can never be solved. He has always lived in this contradiction of subjectively desiring to make contributions, but objectively living in his hometown. Who wants to have such a contradictory sun and moon? This conclusion naturally calls out the "voice beyond painting", which can be understood by people at that time and by people who know this history in later generations. This is the evil of imperial humiliation and surrender policy. It is more thought-provoking to ask questions instead of directly saying them.

This word has a different structure. Generally, the upper film and the lower film are equally divided. In the past, it was the upper film, and today it is the lower film. There are two sentences in the past and two sentences in today in the first half of this word. The latter part is today, but it is closed to the past. Can't be divided by ordinary dichotomy. The sharp contrast in terminology and the slow opening and closing just reflect the author's emotional agitation. There are many allusions between the lines, but you don't even realize that they are allusions, such as "Wan Li sealed Hou", "dusty mink", "Heart in Tianshan Mountain" and "Cangzhou". You can understand the meaning of words without knowing the allusions. Knowing that it is an allusion is particularly kind and understanding. This is a place worth pondering in language.
