Let’s talk about troubles, suffering, and form or emptiness in Buddhism

Recently, I once again studied Teacher Wan Wei Gang’s interpretation of the book "Why Buddhism is True". It can be said that you gain something new after reading it. Now I will talk about my three opinions. To understand the particularly popular words, they are: trouble, suffering, and form is emptiness.

Let’s first talk about what troubles are. Troubles are actually codes set by nature for human beings in the process of evolution. When what you do is conducive to the spread of genes, you will feel happy and happy, such as: getting delicious food, getting sexual partners, etc. And when what you do is not conducive to the spread of genes, you will feel fear, anxiety, etc., such as: seeing scared animals, having a bad relationship with acquaintances, etc. Trouble is caused by these bad emotions, but with the development of society and mankind, some things that evolved in the original environment are no longer adapted to modern society. This is mainly reflected in two aspects:

For example: Want to eat sweets when you see them. This is obviously a code from a primitive society when there was a lack of affairs, and it is no longer suitable for modern people.

For example: You feel that you are wearing a shirt that has a high rate of turning heads. When you walk on the street, you will become the focus of everyone's attention. In fact, no one pays attention to you at all. So, let’s think about it for ourselves. Many of our troubles are caused by this kind of false positive. If you think they are like this or this, in fact, you are often “being sentimental”.

Let’s talk about what suffering is. Suffering is just three words: “not satisfied”. Because nature has designed us to do things that are conducive to the spread of genes and make us feel happy, so we are more willing to do these things, but this happiness has some side effects, such as:

For example: a A man has exhausted all he has learned in his life and finally becomes number one in the world, but will he always be happy? No, this happiness will be very short-lived, and then there will be endless emptiness.

For example: eating chili peppers. If you gradually add more and more chili peppers every time you eat them, you will find that you add less chili peppers and you will not get the taste pleasure you had when you just ate the chili peppers.

And suffering is that although happiness is so short-lived, empty, and "resistant", we still have to spare no effort to pursue it. If we are always pursuing greater "happiness" and always feel dissatisfied during the pursuit, then you are a very "bitter" person. After reading today’s article, I told myself loudly in my heart: You should work hard in life, but don’t be too persistent.

Therefore, we should understand this word better:

What is a normal mind? A normal mind means that I work hard, and after working hard, I get 100 yuan, then I Just live a happy life with 100 yuan, instead of thinking that maybe I can be happier with 000 yuan. Therefore, I think a normal mind is a good medicine to cure "suffering".

The idiom "Form is emptiness" is difficult to understand at first sight, but after reading this series, I do have a clearer understanding of this idiom.

First of all, what is color? Color is the connotation you give to something when you look at it. For example: You have a notebook. This notebook was given to you by your high school teacher and you have always kept it. Then you give this notebook content. And why is it said that "form is emptiness"? Because the connotations given to it are all people's subjective imagination, we say it is "empty".

We can actually imagine carefully that the connotation we give to things seems to be inherent in our genes. For any objectively existing thing, we will give it a certain connotation, but you have not noticed it before. For houses, we will say big or small, and for cars, we will distinguish between luxury cars and economy cars. And these connotations we give are actually added automatically by our brains. And our troubles are often caused by the connotations of these supervisors.

Therefore, it is good for us to realize that "color is emptiness". At least we can not be kidnapped by certain emotions, and we can become freer and see a more real world. world.

After reading this series of interpretations, one of my biggest gains is:
