Peter the Great is the honorific title for Peter I in later generations. Peter I (1June 9, 672-1February 8, 725), formerly known as Peter alexeyevich romanov, son of czar Alexei I, was the fourth czar of Russian Romanov dynasty (1682─ 1725). Russian tsar (1682- 1725), emperor of Russian empire (1721-kloc-0/725), famous commander in chief, 1682 ascended the throne,/kloc-0. As one of the only two "great emperors" in Romanov dynasty, Peter the Great is generally regarded as the most outstanding emperor in Russia. During his reign, he carried out political, economic and military reforms in Russia, and his westernization policy was the main factor that made Russia a powerful country. Peter the Great is the greatest emperor in Russian history. After he succeeded to the throne, he actively set up factories, developed trade, culture, education and scientific research, and at the same time reformed the army, established a formal Lu Haijun and strengthened feudal autocratic centralization of authority. Then it launched a war and won the Baltic Sea estuary, which laid a solid foundation for the Russian empire.
