Senile cataract is the most common blinding eye disease among the elderly in China. It is due to the degeneration and "aging" of the transparent lens in the eye, which gradually becomes turbid and opaque, causing vision loss and even blindness. Failure to treat cataracts in time can lead to blindness.

Cataract is an eye disease that changes from transparent to opaque due to the opacity of intraocular lens, which affects vision and has the highest incidence among the elderly. A normal lens is transparent, just like the lens of a camera. Once turbid, it will affect the light entering the eyes, which will reduce the vision and blur the vision. Statistics show that cataract has occupied the first place in all kinds of blinding eye diseases, which has brought great harm to patients. For early cataract, we can try to use some drugs to slow down the development of cataract. Commonly used drugs include vitamin C, Zhang Yanming tablets and eye drops. If you can't control it, you can consider surgery.
