Differences between PP, PE, PS, PA, ABS and PVC plastics

Simply put, because there are many kinds of PP, let's talk about the general characteristics.

1, PP, polypropylene, low price, easy to modify, generally used in household appliance shells, car bumpers and so on. At present, many parts needed to reduce costs are made of modified PP, which is widely used.

2, PE, polyethylene, low price, not easy to modify, generally used in toys, plastic bags, restaurants, car seats, etc., soft texture, not easy to modify, but the price is very low, so the application is general.

3, PS, polystyrene, this material has good hardness, but it contains benzene rings and is highly toxic to burn. Generally used for engineering parts and CDs, as well as some containers.

4.PA, polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is widely used in construction machinery, automobiles, aerospace and other fields because of its good strength. Fibrous fibers can be used as the basis of fabrics.

5, ABS, acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene * * * polymer, high surface brightness, generally used as high-end electrical shell.

6, PVC, polyvinyl chloride, itself flame retardant, good strength, coupled with low prices, is also widely used, but the toxic gases produced by combustion will also be subject to many restrictions, and are still widely used in pipes, plates, cable materials, containers and so on.

The price can only be roughly compared, not absolute PE.
