Understanding of "Practice"

First, what do we mean by "practice"? Self-cultivation means self-cultivation, self-cultivation, and dialogue with yourself.

Is it important to talk to yourself? Important. Talking to yourself can bring long-term inner peace, without anxiety, joy in things, and sorrow for yourself. Is it valuable to be calm? Precious. When you are in the middle of your life, when you encounter changes, when you realize that fatigue has no end, you will understand the value of peace.

Have you heard the following chicken soup?

"

The famous Westminster Abbey in London, England has a world-famous tombstone. Tombstones are made of rough granite and have a common shape. Compared with the famous people such as the king of England, Newton, Darwin and Dickens, there is no name, date of birth and death, or even an introduction about the owner's life on the tombstone.

But it is such a nameless tombstone that has brought shock to the whole world!

The epitaph reads:

When I was young, I dreamed of changing the world.

When I grow up, I find that I can't change the world. I shortened my horizons and decided to change only my country.

When I get old, I find that I can't change my country. My last wish is to change my family, but it is impossible.

When I was lying in bed dying, I suddenly realized:

If you just change yourself at first, and then give an example, you may change your family. With the help and encouragement of my family, I may do something for my country. Then, who knows? I can even change the world.

"

My understanding of this chicken soup is-talk to yourself, first complete your cognition and reconciliation with yourself, and then ask for it.

How to complete self-awareness and how to reconcile with yourself?

Interpretation of Dreams talks about ID, ego and superego. There are innate differences, human nature has the primitiveness of animals, and the acquired environment is different.

Animal side is mainly manifested in "sex" and "power", commonly known as money and women. Pursuing this is a primitive instinct. Practice is not based on abstinence and anti-humanity, but on the basis of facing up to human nature, so as to "show love and stop at ceremony" Stopping the ceremony is practice.

The acquired environment has the greatest influence on people's character, which is "childhood experience". Lack of money and love will create insecurity in a blank childhood, and even leave a deep imprint on the whole life behind, with far-reaching influence. Children from poor families, children born in a domestic violence environment, and children from single-parent families will have distorted personalities and outlook on life. Finding your own distortion and correcting your own paranoia is practice.

Buddhists talk about obsession, saying that all six things are bitter, emphasizing but not letting go. What does Buddhism say? Buddhism is about being born, seeing through the world of mortals and seeing where you come from in the third person. Gave us a road to peace. Of course, the way out is not to become a monk in the temple, but to be a preacher, a yogi who does not enter the temple and a lay disciple.

Practice is to cultivate the mind, regardless of where to practice. Buddhists talk about the origin of Buddhism and the root of wisdom.

What is "Buddhism"?

At the beginning of the year, a friend who believes in Buddhism told me the wisdom of Buddhism. All six paths are bitter, and I am obsessed with it. I don't feel much, but I feel very novel and wise. In the past six months, when the outside world stopped busy, I had time and environment to practice internally, and gradually got a deeper understanding of Buddhist wisdom. I think of the "Buddha's fate" my friend told me at the beginning of the year, and I think it may really be this fate.

The previously understood "fate" is regarded as the metaphysics of "random probability, date of birth, dark matter in the universe". Now that I think about it, "fate" should mean "a person who was born with some understanding. When he was confused, he heard some ideas conveyed by missionaries, and Huo Ran became cheerful and relieved his confusion". Understanding, preaching, thinking and confusion add up to "life". And understanding is wisdom.

Buddhism's answer to peace can be understood from the following story.

"

The benefactor asked the monk, "What did you do before you attained the Tao?"

The monk said, "chop wood and boil water to cook."

"What about after you get the word?"

"Chop wood, boil water and cook."

"So you haven't changed since you got the Tao?"

The monk said, "It's changed. Before I got the word, I thought that chopping wood required boiling water and boiling water required cooking. After I got the word, I thought about boiling water when I was boiling water, chopping wood when I was chopping wood, and cooking when I was cooking. "

"

The answer of Buddhism is birth. It's inevitably a little negative. Private thought is not the best answer. Yangming's theory of mind may be more positive.

Yangming's theory of mind stresses entry into WTO, birth and re-entry. What is he talking about? What he said was experience, experience, introspection, epiphany, letting go of obsession and starting a new life. What is the goal of spiritual practice? The inner saint and the outer king.

Why join the WTO? It's better to take Wan Li Road to read thousands of books. Han Han said in "There will be no future" that "you have never seen the world, how can you have a world view"?

In Fudan EMBA class, experienced teacher Bao lamented to us that "downhill needs more wisdom". Behind his short sentence is "experience, experience, reflection and sentiment". Can you say that you will not join the WTO?

People who haven't cried late at night are not enough to talk about life. What about being born without joining the WTO?

Why were you born? Because you are not born, you can't get long-term peace of mind. This is the Buddhist wisdom mentioned earlier. The answer of Yangming's mind is the same as that of Buddhism.

The difference is that on the question of where to go, the answer of Buddhism stops at birth. The psychological answer is to re-enter the WTO after birth. How to rejoin the WTO? The inner saint and the outer king.

What is the inner saint and the outer king? My understanding is: practice different routines both inside and outside. What's in it? Don't be confused, don't be persistent, and finally achieve long-term inner peace. What do you want to fix? How to get along with people? Based on my own understanding, I will get along with others and try to make things a goal without disturbing my inner peace. Because the id is different and the way of reconciliation with oneself is different, the "correct" way of getting along with others is also different. In the face of choice, everything has two sides, and every choice has advantages and disadvantages. You don't need to ask others for a standard answer, because perfection doesn't exist, and the best answer is only known to you who have reached a settlement with yourself.

People say that I am not confused at 40, but I am not 35 now, and my understanding is ok, but my qualifications are still shallow, which is purely personal. Maybe after 80 or 90 years old, it will be another feeling.

My answer to the ultimate question "Where are you from?" is summed up in two sentences, which are from Mr. Gao, "Life is not just the present, but also poetry and distance" and "To obtain long-term inner peace".
