" He painted bamboo for 40 years, and finally realized that painting should be simplified and refined. I like bamboo and love it. Zheng Banqiao's bamboo charm is detached. First of all, he likes and loves bamboo. He thinks bamboo is strong: it is straight whether it is windy or rainy or the sun is hot or cold. Green is gloomy, and bamboo is "open-minded": both the giant bamboo in Shan Ye and the green branches in front of and behind the house are hollow and never arrogant. Bamboo has a "knot": it can bear hardships and does not "defect". The style of bamboo fits the temperament of Banqiao, and things blend with me. Zheng Banqiao once said: "Where I draw bamboo, there is nothing to learn from, but I get more from paper windows, powder walls, sunshine and moon shadows." Yes, he has been accompanied by bamboo all his life. He planted many bamboos in front of his house. In summer, he put a small bed in the bamboo forest. Lie down and read, enjoy bamboo and smell it. In autumn and winter, he cut the bamboo pole into small pieces, made the window lattice, and then pasted it with white paper. When the weather is warm, pieces of bamboo shadow are reflected on enough paper, just like a natural bamboo painting. When writing, we are often excited and lack a deep understanding of what we feel, which requires calm observation, vertical and horizontal comparison and calm thinking in order to grasp its spiritual essence. "Remember that your heart is like a river, flowing eastward day and night." Therefore, painting bamboo on the Banqiao is not only about writing gods for bamboo, but also about sketching for bamboo. Thin and lonely, is its god; The hero Lingyun is (its) life. " "Life" here refers to the external image of bamboo; The "God" here is the inner temperament. The bishop's form and spirit, empathy for things and implication for things can enhance artistic appeal. Painting is like this, and writing is no exception.
