Some people leave their hometown after graduation and come to Beijing to work hard. Although they can only live in a house outside the ring, it takes two hours to commute.

Some people have been working in Beijing, despite the long-term smog and sandstorms there;

These are the normal conditions of life and work in the north, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. A large number of people come and go, but many people will choose to stay here after all.

Which city you choose is what kind of life you choose. Beishangguangshen doesn't believe in tears. It is cruel to go north to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, but I still choose to stay here without hesitation.

First, grow faster.

I have a high school friend who works as a reporter in a newspaper in a fourth-tier city in our hometown. In fact, this job is very popular with girls, which is what adults think: close to home, high salary, no need to work overtime, easy to find someone. Every New Year's party, I will say that I envy her stability, time, little pressure and so on, but she is not happy at all.

She said that the newspapers here do the same work every day, and the manuscripts they write are all like the exam-oriented compositions of the previous college entrance examination. Fixed format is not new, and colleagues around me are as idle as themselves. Everyone will not worry about being eliminated and surpassed, and the pattern is limited here, just waiting to take care of the children after work.

So this is a life that the eyes can see. I feel like I'm fooling around every day. I'm not a reporter anymore. I can't find the passion to work in a university club. I'm just a robot who has no ambition and is numb to work. Therefore, I envy your energetic days of "struggling" every day.

Even though my parents say that I have a good life and everything is fine, I know this is actually a small city. Just like the rapid development of the Internet and new media, when the newspaper closed down, I knew I would do nothing, and I would soon face unemployment. I live comfortably here, and it is easy to get complacent and stagnate.

Small cities are too comfortable, but big cities exercise people. If you feel that you are surrounded by people who are equal to or even inferior to yourself, it means that you are in a "weak circle" and your vision and pattern are stagnant there. Everyone is muddling along, and it is difficult to stimulate your desire to struggle and catch up. If you go back to work in a competitive place, you will be vulnerable.

Every day in first-tier cities, it often takes a lot of efforts to settle down in first-tier cities, so we have a strong sense of crisis and always think:

How fast? Make money, get promoted, get married and settle down.

How many/much? One more skill, one more part-time job and one more income.

How to improve? Improve your ability, your needs and your importance.

Therefore, in such an environment, everyone is eager to grow and be rewarded.

Second, more opportunities.

There is a programmer in the company who is also a foreigner. After working for three years, I still can't buy a house in Shenzhen. I asked him what to do if the house price has been so high that he can't afford to buy a house for ten years. Will you stay in Shenzhen all the time?

He said that in fact, the conditions in his hometown are quite good, and he can also use his three-year savings to buy a house and a car in his hometown and live a stable life. However, he is reluctant to part with the technical atmosphere in Shenzhen. There is no company in his hometown, let alone the spirit of the Internet. I have been working for most of the day. I prefer to stay in Shenzhen with my classmates to develop and find more opportunities. Maybe there will be other possibilities in life.

Many people stay in the north, Guangzhou and Shenzhen because these first-tier cities have better jobs, leading industries, interests and expertise, and naturally stay in the right cities to display their talents. For example, foreign language learners can not only be teachers, but also choose foreign trade, translation, foreign companies and other jobs; Chinese language majors can choose media, public relations companies, advertising companies, internet companies and so on. In short, big cities give more people space and opportunities to choose and play.

Third, resources are more abundant.

After coming to Shenzhen, I experienced the convenience of living here and the richness of resources.

For example:

Buying food only needs APP to place an order, and it will be delivered to your door automatically. There is no need to bargain, go to the dirty vegetable market and choose fresh vegetables because they are standardized products;

Occasionally, foreign crews come to see it, such as the unforgettable Phantom of the Opera. Watching concerts and dramas is very timely and convenient;

Participate in the gathering of offline bullpen, develop contacts and open up thinking;

Participate in industry high-level forums and trainings to improve professional competitiveness.

Choosing first-tier cities or third-and fourth-tier cities depends on what kind of life you want at this stage.
