The complications of pinkeye mainly include the following categories:

1, the most common is improper treatment, especially chronic conjunctivitis, which is characterized by redness, dryness and fatigue, and the color of conjunctiva is not clear enough because of pigmentation and congestion.

2. The serious complication is subconjunctival hemorrhage, and there is a big bleeding point in the white eyeball, which is absorbed slowly (sometimes it takes one or two months to absorb).

3. Some types of pinkeye (mainly special kinds of bacterial infections) can cause the eyelid conjunctiva to be covered with a false membrane, and it feels that there are always foreign bodies in the eyes grinding the eyes, and the eyes are unusually dry. It can lead to entropion or symblepharon.

Some types of pinkeye can cause iridocyclitis, which is characterized by pain, photophobia, tears and decreased vision. Severe cases can cause macular edema and optic retinitis. Sometimes it even causes ulcers, perforations and endophthalmitis of conjunctiva and cornea.
