During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, a famous Suzhou stone carver named Zhang Zhongyu carved it back into its original shape. Therefore, there is a saying in Suzhou that "a fake tiger hill is a real sword pool". Some people say that this sentence refers to the secret of He Lv's tomb.

Entering the round cave door with a hole in the sky, I suddenly felt that the water in the pool was dark and cold and the empty mountain was firm, and the weather changed. Raise your eyes, and you will see two steep stone cliffs rising from the ground, locking up a pool of green water. The pool is long and narrow, slightly wider in the south and slightly narrower in the north. It looks like a flat sword. When the sun shines obliquely on the water, it gives people the feeling that it is cold and shining, even in hot summer, it will feel chilly. The water reflected the shadow of a stone bridge. Looking up, the arched stone bridge is flying high in the air, which is very dangerous. The stone walls are covered with moss, and the vines and wild flowers hang upside down like ribbons. Obviously, it was cut by artificial chopping. There is an earth dam in the south of the pool, which is connected with a stone wall on three sides. The area is about the size of four square tables, which is three feet lower than the usual water level. It was built artificially to store water.

Because of the narrowest place in the north of the pool, a cave and tunnel extending about ten feet to the north was found, which allowed burly people to go in and out alone, raise their hands and touch the top, and go up and down straight. It is not difficult to infer that it was also excavated manually. There is a bell mouth at the end, and there is more than one meter of space in front, which can accommodate four people standing side by side, and there is no room for maneuver. There are four rectangular stone slabs cut manually with gravel in front, one of which is laid flat in the soil as a base, and the other three are stacked horizontally, like a big stone tablet.

Although such an exaggerated description may not be credible, the tomb of the King of Wu, one of the five tyrants in the late Spring and Autumn Period, must have a large building scale, and the design of the tomb must be quite precise and hidden. From the analysis of the accumulated soil behind the Tiger Hill and the above signs, it is likely that the sword pool was designed and excavated to cover the tomb of the King of Wu. There may be some secrets behind the tomb door. However, whether the tomb of the Prince of Wu is among them is still a mystery through the ages until it is confirmed by archaeological excavations. 1955 dredging sword pool.
