The third notable characteristic of Zhao Sanniang is that she is afraid of her daughter-in-law. She raised two sons, and the wives of both sons happened to be shrews. These two shrews were very capable, and they were usually kind to other people, but they only targeted her.

Because she hated her, the eldest daughter-in-law abducted her eldest son and stayed at her daughter-in-law’s house all year round, never going home during the Chinese New Year. Although the daughter-in-law nominally followed her second son and lived with Zhao Sanniang, she moved her daughter to live on the street and took away most of Zhao Sanniang's property. For this reason, Zhao Sanniang didn't dare to express her anger. She only dared to buy something for her grandson when passing by on the street, but she didn't dare to hug her grandson when she saw him.

The third notable characteristic of Zhao Sanniang is that she doesn’t like to help and is very strong. This is also the most important reason why people in the village dislike her.

Although Zhao Sanniang is very strong, walks fast, and is great at work, others never like to ask her for help.

People in the village often need to help each other, especially when encountering major problems. Every year, a large number of people are needed to help with rice harvesting and seedling planting. Although Zhao Sanniang is powerful, she still asks for help every year.

When she first came to the village and she asked others to help, others thought it was nothing. They should help each other, and as a newcomer, they should care more. After helping her, when others asked her for help later, she would always push back, or go to the place where help was offered, find various places to hide, or run away if something happened to her family.

Zhao Sanniang is still very strong, and she is unreasonable when she is strong. Growing rice in rural areas requires a lot of water. Zhao Sanniang's fields are upstream, and other people's fields are downstream. She first had to get water to irrigate her own field. Only when there was a thick layer of water in the field would it be given to others. Once others want to cross the water, they have to tell her in advance. She will always find various excuses to block the water and prevent others from using it. The excuses they make are that the nutrients in their fields have been released, etc., which have no scientific basis.

Sometimes there is not enough water and we have to find water from far away. No matter what, no matter who is looking for it, as long as she passes her place, she will use it first, regardless of whether it is a relative or not.
