About Zizhuyuan

Zizhuyuan Park is located in Beijing West Third Ring Road, near Baishiqiao in Haidian District, and on the west side of Beijing Capital Gymnasium. Zizhuyuan Park was founded on 1953. Named after the Ming and Qing Temple "Yin Fu Zizhuyuan" in the northwest of the park, it has a unique landscape of bamboo garden in the south of Sichuan and lingshi meadow in Tuerling. The whole park covers an area of 47.35 hectares, of which the water surface accounts for about one third.

Nanchang River and Shuangzi Canal pass through the park, forming a basic pattern of three lakes, two islands, one dike, one river and one canal. It is a natural landscape garden full of secluded places and green bars, with bamboo as the scenery and bamboo as the victory. From July 1 2006, Zizhuyuan Park is free to visit. Zizhuyuan is located on the west side of Beijing Capital Gymnasium.

It is adjacent to Beijing Dance Academy in the north and National Library in the east. Metro Line 9 and Metro Line 4 arrive at the National Library Station. In ancient times, Zizhuyuan used to be a low-lying wetland. In Yuan Dynasty, Guo Shoujing dug a long river in the upper reaches of the Gaoliang River, forming a water storage lake, which became one of the important water sources in Beijing. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the "Yin Fu Zizhuyuan" was built by the lake, but it was dilapidated. 1953 completed the park, which is still named after Zizhuyuan.
