Know a little about tires

When it comes to the composition of a car, tires are essential. We usually drive on the road, no matter how bad the road conditions are, we need tires to run over a little bit, so the importance of tires goes without saying. Let's talk about some tire knowledge!

First of all, talk about the tire brand. There are many common tire brands, such as Michelin, Dema, Deng Lupu, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Han Tai and Jin Hu. Different brands have different tire characteristics. For example, Pirelli focuses on sports and has a strong grip on the ground, but it is noisy and suitable for some performance cars. It is the first choice for speed machines.

There are also horse brand tires (also known as mainland), which tend to be comfortable, and the driving noise and comfort are very good.

Another example is Michelin, the inventor of radial tire. Most of its products can give consideration to sports and comfort at the same time. Michelin has been sponsoring F 1 and major automobile races.

Besides, there are many tire brands for you to choose from. You can choose the brand according to the characteristics and personal needs of your car.

Then look at the tire size and specifications. Different cars have different tyre size, but how to choose tyre size?

Let's take the following figure as an example to illustrate what the characters "195/55/R 15 85 V" mean. First of all, 195 refers to the contact width between the tire tread and the ground. The bigger the number, the wider the tire. If it is smaller, the tire will be narrower.

55 refers to the flattening ratio, that is, the ratio of the distance between the tire and the rim contact point to the tire tread width. Simply put, the larger this value, the thicker the tire, the smaller the value, and the thinner the tire. The higher the flattening rate, the better the comfort. On the contrary, the smaller the flat rate, the worse the comfort, and the greater the risk of tire damage with small flat rate.

R 15 stands for radial tire, and the hub size is 15 inch, where r stands for radial tire and 15 is the hub size.

85 represents the load index of the tire. The larger this number is, the greater the weight that the tire can bear under normal tire pressure.

V represents the maximum speed that the tire can bear. This letter is classified alphabetically. The higher the letter, the greater the maximum speed that the tire can bear. For example, the speed limit of the tire represented by V is 240km/h, 2 10km/h and 270 km/h. In short, the lower the alphabetical order, the higher the speed limit of the tire.

Then talk about the classification of tires. Tires can be roughly divided into H/T, A/T and M/T according to the different use environment, among which H/T is the level that our family cars use more. H/T tire has soft tread pattern, smaller tread rubber particles and the best comfort performance. The use environment is basically 90% expressway, 10% rugged off-road.

A/T tires are the lowest level that off-road vehicles should be equipped with. A/T tire has large tread pattern and many rubber particles, which can provide good grip on off-road sections, but its comfort performance is poor. On the expressway, the noise and vibration of A/T tires are relatively large, which is suitable for 50% of highways and 50% of off-road environments.

M/T tires are pure mud tires. In addition to the huge patterns and rubber particles, even the sidewall has great strength, passability and puncture resistance. However, there is almost no comfort on the expressway, and the noise and vibration will multiply, which is suitable for 90% off-road pavement and 10% expressway.

In addition to these three grades, there are more abnormal types of tires, such as rainforest tires and paddle tires, which are specially built for special environments. These tires have very strong off-road performance, but it is almost impossible to use them on the road.
