Wet clothes, apricot flowers and rain, wind blowing willow tips. What does this poem mean?
"Original"
Jueju
Author: Song Zhinan
The shade of ancient wood is a short awning, and the stick thistle helps me cross the east of the bridge.
The clothes are wet and the apricot blossoms are raining, and the face is not cold.
"translation"
Under the shade of towering old trees, I tied a boat, walked slowly across the bridge and walked eastward by a quinoa fight.
In the spring of March, apricot blossoms are in full bloom, and the drizzle seems to be deliberately wetting my clothes, and it won't stop. Gently blowing people's faces, the spring breeze with the fresh breath of willows is intoxicating.
[Notes]
Tie (x √): connect and bolt.
Short canopy: A ship.
Canopy, sail and boat are synonyms.
Chenopodium album: The inverted text of Chenopodium album.
Chenopodium album and millet with erect stems can be used as crutches for the elderly.
Apricot Rain: Rain in the apricot blossom season around Tomb-Sweeping Day.
Yangliufeng: The ancients called the wind that came in response to the flowering period Hua Xinfeng. Twenty-four hours from slight cold to Grain Rain, every hour should be a kind of flower letter, collectively called "Twenty-four Hua Xinfeng". Among them, "Liu Hua" or "Willow Wind" is Tomb-Sweeping Day's last flower letter.
Appreciation of the whole poem
This little poem describes the poet's pleasure of spring outing with a stick in the breeze and drizzle.
The poet went for a spring outing with a stick, saying that "the stick helped me" and personified the stick, as if it were a reliable playmate, helping people move forward silently, giving people a sense of intimacy and security, which made the old monk
Youxing rose sharply and crossed the bridge to the east in high spirits. The scenery of Qiaodong and Qiaoxi may not be very different, but for poets who travel in spring, the artistic conception and interest are quite different from east to west.
"East" is sometimes synonymous with "spring". For example, the god of spring is called Dong Jun, and the east wind refers to the spring breeze. When the poet crossed the bridge eastbound, it happened that a shareholder wind was blowing head-on, whether westbound, northbound or southbound,
There is no such poem. The last two sentences of the poem are particularly wonderful: "apricot blossom rain", early spring rain "willow wind" and early spring wind. This is more beautiful and picturesque than "drizzle" and "breeze"
Yang Liuzhi is rippling with the wind, giving people the impression that the spring breeze comes from willows, and the rain in early spring is called "apricot blossom rain".
It's like calling the rain in early summer "Huang Meiyu".
"The small building listens to the spring rain all night, and the deep alley sells apricot flowers." In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, the great poet Lu You once associated apricot flowers with spring rain.
"I want to get wet with clothes", and it is more subtle to describe the drizzle in early spring with clothes that seem wet but not wet. Imagine the poet walking eastward with a stick, burning red apricots and dancing green willows.
The rain in Mao Mao stained the clothes, which looked wet but not wet. The breeze blew head-on, and I didn't feel a chill. What an impatient and pleasant spring outing! Some people can't help but think that the old monk just goes on and enjoys himself.
Wait until he remembers it's time to go home, lest he be so tired that he can't even help? Don't worry too much. The first sentence of the poem says: "The shade of ancient wood is short." Isn't the short canopy a boat?
The old monk came by boat along the stream, and the boat was under the old tree by the stream, waiting for him to untie it and return to the temple.
"Introduction to the author"
The Southern Song Dynasty poet, a monk, was born in life is unknown. Zhinan's living condition has not been tested, and he was not as popular as "Four Poets of Zhongxing" and "Mr. Er Quan" in the literary world at that time. But this little poem, with its delicate feelings and true description of early spring and February, recorded its name in the history of Song poetry.
